NBA Playoffs

I believe I heard them say last night during the Dallas/Golden State game that Baron Davis is the only player to ever have back-to-back triple doubles in the playoffs. I dunno if I believe that or not.

23 freakin' assists for Nash today. Wow. 27 and 21 for Stoudemire.

Heat are officially done.

Golden St is getting ready to take control of the 1 Seed.

Lets Go War riors
Lets Go War riors

(They just played the song that they play at Thompson Bolling Arena that everyone bounces up and down to.)

Baron Davis is quickly becoming one of my favorite players in the league.

I dunno if you got to watch him much in college, but he has been one of the more complete guards I have ever seen, and he has been for a long time, he's just a good basketball player.

On a side note...

DAAAAAAAAAAA Bulls Da Bulls Da Bulls Da Bulls Da Bulls.

It's the timely shots and plays that he continues to make in this series. He has been pure clutch in every sense of the word. He's been completely unstoppable thus far.

The Warriors are having one helluva series against Dallas. Golden St. has confidence, swagger, and poise...and the Mavs look a little intimidated.

Being a multiple threat type guy like that is tougher in this day and age of the NBA. The Big O's numbers won't ever be touched, but I would put Kidd as the 2nd best of all-time.

Think of the damage the Lakers could have done if they picked him up...

I couldn't imagine the Lakers being any better than the 4th best team in the West even with Kidd.

Then again, the Mavs don't look much better than the Warriors either. Not that anyone would be surprised if they came back and took the series. Was the Suns/Lakers series last year a 1-8 matchup or 2-7?

That's 3 spots higher than 7. Being the 4th seed in the west makes you one of the 5 best teams in the league, and thus a contender.

The Suns were a 2 seed, and the Lakers a 7.

Last year people still had the feeling that the Suns would win it. Golden State seems to have the upper hand in just about every way here. I don't think it can be overstated that this is largely a case of Don Nelson working his former pupil.

i don't really care what year you do it, if you average a triple double for the season, you are king until someone else does it. Oscar's king. nothing taken away from kidd though. he's amazing to watch.

Thanks for the math lesson. I guess if they wanted to get eliminated in the 2nd round rather than the 1st, they would've pulled the trigger on the Kidd deal.

Progress is progress. Right now they are letting Kobe go down the trail KG has been blazing for years. Getting a guard like Kidd is a big step in the direction of a championship. Next step would be replacing Kwame Brown with a legit inside man.
