NBA Playoffs

The Warriors thumped the Mavericks in the 3rd quarter...and they're not letting up here in the 4th...up by more than 20 with 6 minutes to go.

The Oakland Warriors are the most astonishing story of the NBA playoffs, whether you like the NBA or not. They are the closest thing to a great college team in the NBA with fans who respond most like college fans. I'm saying, Go Warriors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we're in store for a great game 7 between Houston and Utah.

I, for one, am hoping McGrady can advance his team to the 2nd round.

It will be an absolute joke if Dirk Nowitski wins the MVP. Nash should win the MVP for the 3rd straight season.
Exactly. I'm not sure how they could justify not awarding Nash after he set career highs in points and assists, considering he won it the two previous years.

Dwyane Wade is at the house already, but at least he can take solace in the fact he pegged Dirk months ago.

Incredible.

I hope to God they didn't have the MVP voting prior to the playoffs.

As I understand it, all voting was complete prior to the start of the playoffs.

I was rooting for the Mavs due to a personal connection to one of their players, but it is pretty discouraging when the stars just don't show up for the playoffs. Howard was invisible for much of the series, Stackhouse was horrible, and Dirk was Dirk for what, 2 of the 6 games? How does the MVP have one FG in the first 3 quarters of an elimination game?

The Warriors were not a typical 8, but the utter collapse by the Mavs seems to point to a very deep problem with that team. They weren't even really competitive in the losses, and they had to score the final 15 in one of the wins. Not good.

You say that now. They may have had one of the most embarassing playoffs showing in NBA history, but they also had one of the greatest regular seasons in NBA history. Dirk was the #1 guy on that team.

However, I agree that Nash should win the MVP. I've had that opinion all season, though.

Amazing win by GS! Now if the Suns can just get by SA...
I'd give the Suns a 9:1 shot at winning that series.

Cuban was in tears afterwards.
You would be too after losing all that potential money. That's 12 more home games that could have happened.

Well, McGrady is one quarter away from not getting out of the first round again.

It appears that Boozer's abuse of Yao has continued in game seven.

Phantom call on Barbosa, who just goes head first in every shot he takes; regardless of whether or not it is a shot or layup/dunk, gives the Spurs the game.

Damn that looks painful! I didn't expect the Bulls to lay down and play dead in game 1....
