NBC Affiliate Private Security Kills Trump Supporter

With evidence at hand, it's clear the "reporter" who is a left-leaning Antifia supporter "hired" this idiot who is his friend as "security" and either lied to the news station, or they just didnt check on his background. Either way they are f#$&ed and should be...

Another example of why no one likes or trusts the media
Up until now they have just lied to us, tried to illegally remove our President but now they are hiring goons to kill us. Yes they are the enemy of the people

It's almost like mo guns don't make us mo safe. I just can't understand how making it easy for everyone to have a gun could lead to bad results.
Looks like a just outcome. That idiot had no right to be spraying whatever that was on the guard. He brought that on himself entirely

You can't put a cap in someone for macing you.
I’m pretty sure you can depending on the situation. The security guard had no way of knowing the intentions of the guy with the spray. Now if the guard did something to initiate the confrontation I’ll change my tune. But if he was simply doing his job and some idiot attacks him then I expect he’ll be able to successfully claim self defense

His job was to protect his client, not engage with a protester.

Lots of speculation going on about those photos and what they show. A good prosecutor or defense attorney will be able to spin them either way. I wonder how long it will be before the witness statements leak.

It doesn’t matter who initiated the conflict, a security professional does everything possible to extricate their clients not escalate the conflict.

Does that matter for his personal self-defense claim?

Edit: I have no idea if CO is a stand your ground state.

I don’t know. I think the guy is screwed.

My theory is the reporter or producer hired the guy under the guise of security but in reality they hired him to create a story and it got out of hand.

If its an accurate theory, somebody's gonna pay through the nose. At this point I don’t know who did or didn't hire who and those photos can be spun either way.

There are still pix of the shooter going for his pistol before the mace spraying, for what that's worth.
It might be worth something. But it could have been apparent that the guy was about to fix him. Does Colorado have stand your ground laws?

I think you’re right.

Pinkerton released a revised statement that he was an independent contractor hired through them.

“We take loss of life in any situation very seriously and our hearts go out to those impacted by this situation,” the company posted on its Facebook page. “As it relates to the incident in Denver on October 10, the agent in question is not a Pinkerton employee but rather a contractor agent from a long-standing industry vendor.”

“Security professionals often serve as guides to protect media crews during potentially dangerous situations or hostile environments,” the statement said. “We are fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities in their investigation.”
