Georgia vs TCU: 65-7: Ridiculous!— Just proof that TCU never deserved to be there in the first place!

UGA vs Tennessee was 27-13….

Even if the outcome was the same: which game would you rather watch?

Even Joe Milton III could have scored the VOLS at least 21 points this time around!!!!!

It was joke. I was cheering for the frogs and hoping but instinctively thought it would be a blowout. I had a 48-24 blowout in mind not 65-7. What a yawn fest for a NC game.

Tcu did not belong on same field as uga. That said, not sure there were 3 other teams that did.

The disparity between college elite and those trying to be such has never been greater.

What a disappointing game to watch.

I just hope the score puts to bed the storyline that Kirby "called off the dogs" on Tennessee. Kirby runs up the score when he can... And I have no problem with that. The weather got rough and the Tennessee defense legitimately made good adjustments.
Yep, he tried to run it up on us but couldn't. Mutt fans will try to make you think otherwise though

That was horribe.. this is why sos should mean a hell of a lot more. Sure tcu,Michigan and Ohio state can run the table, and other g-5 schools, and I’ll throw Clemson in there. Bc literally their entire schedules are against teams that have less or equal to recruiting rankings as freaking Vanderbilt. Cmon man.
I’ll say that Ohio state, Michigan, and Clemson are different bc they have talented players. But why reward a team a chance at the playoffs if they are playing a bunch of nobodies all season?? It’s ridiculous, so glad the 12 team playoff expansion is happening. This will stop teams like tcu from faking it til you get the living crap kicked out of you on national tv and make a bunch of people waste money on your sorry asses.
That crap shouldn’t have been aloud on tv, it was a murder scene!!

That was embarrassing for NCAA Football overall. Given the facts on the ground last night, I'm going to go "against the tide" of many opinions here and say that I'm glad it was OUR conference champion that did the embarrassing and ( God forbid...) not the other way around.
C'mon folks....do you honestly wish that TCU pounded UGA 65-7 last night..??? Wouldn't say much about our team if they had, would it..??
Perhaps the 12 team playoff system will help. Time will tell.

Tough to justify putting 3 teams from 1 conference in the playoff but it probably would've been the most competitive.

If Ryan Day could've gotten his kicker 8 more yards or so... Yuck

I can't wait to knock those barking buffoons off their perch.

More to the point, if Ryan Day coached to win with 30 seconds left and 1st down at the 30 with two TO's in his pocket. Coached scared and put his kicker in a ridiculous spot. Day and the OSU defense choking down the stretch handed that game to Georgia.

No it won't. There will be the odd upset here and there, but mostly it will be a lot of blowouts and the 2-3 teams everyone knew going in would be in the final four will be there every year.

This isn't hoops, where one hot player or a gimmick system can steal a few games and get to a final four. At the end of the day, CFB is about one thing - accumulating depth with as many 4 and 5 stars as possible with a competent, solid system. There is a very small handful of schools that will ever fit that description.

The expanded playoff, like every rule or policy change in college or pro sports anymore, is about one thing and one thing only. I think we all know what that is.

It will absolutely fix something.

It will correct media & CFP
conference president bias fix being in to keep teams out by ignoring Strength of Record/Schedule and using record/conference champion excuse.

12 teams might have ended up with a semifinal including UGA, Alabama, UT and tOSU. There would have been no way for the media and conference CFP members to stop the cream rising other than manipulating the brackets to cause earlier matchups. BUT TCU would not have made it to semi.

The CFP12 should make for a more competitive championship game.

The Biggest jokes in the format will be who gets the bye(s) and the referees.

Good points. Maybe I should have amended my comment to "the 2-3 teams everyone knew going in should be in the final four will be there every year."

But there will be a lot of blowouts and bad games to get to that point. If the 'committee' just did its job and bias and politics was left out of it, we wouldn't need the expanded playoff, but I suppose that's a pipe dream.

I just wish they'd bring back the old BCS, or better yet go back to the way it was before the BCS. Simpler times, before money ruined the sport.

They didn't need a TD tho. He had 3 downs to get a few yards, even a 42-43 yard FG and your K feels pretty confident. Yet he tried to run the ball right into the teeth of UGA's front 7. Just get a little creative there. Easy for me to say from my armchair but yeah.

Playing for the FG was the right move, you can't risk a TO. But a 50 yarder there is a tough position to put that K in. I felt bad for him.

The Bias was never going to get fixed which is why the SEC refused any expansion if there were any caps or guarantees for conferences other than P5 conferences being guaranteed a spot. Every other president knows the SEC going forward will get a minimum of 3 maybe 4 teams in and Big 10 will always get 2 due to media bias.
