NC — WHAT A FARCE!

Georgia vs TCU: 65-7: Ridiculous!— Just proof that TCU never deserved to be there in the first place!
UGA vs Tennessee was 27-13….
Even if the outcome was the same: which game would you rather watch?
Even Joe Milton III could have scored the VOLS at least 21 points this time around!!!!!

To be frank, I only see one thing in your post.

You: Hey, JoeMil, stand next to the wall. Yeah, the thick concrete wall.

JoeMil: Ok, what for?

You: I need more target practice, now hold still.

The championship game? SEC teams more often than not kick non-SEC team's butts in big games. It's almost like it's a law. BTW, the Vols-Dawgs game would have been a big blowout. What's ignored is Kirby reigned in his boys, when it was obvious ours were not really a threat against his defense. So, on the big stage, he probably would not have held back, due to ego. Would we have done better than TCU? I'd say yes, but not by much. Maybe lost 55 -20 at best.

They didn't need a TD tho. He had 3 downs to get a few yards, even a 42-43 yard FG and your K feels pretty confident. Yet he tried to run the ball right into the teeth of UGA's front 7. Just get a little creative there. Easy for me to say from my armchair but yeah.

Playing for the FG was the right move, you can't risk a TO. But a 50 yarder there is a tough position to put that K in. I felt bad for him.

I'm not saying play for the TD, but with 2 TO's he had 3-4 plays to pick up 10-12 yards and make the FG manageable, with an offense that had already put up 40+ points. You know Georgia is going to stack the box and bring max pressure - are you telling me that Day had no quick out or slant in the package to pick up 5-8 yards?

He ran straight into the teeth of a blitz and then did a full drop back with a blitz coming - that's a play caller choking, and I hate that term. He played not to lose, a 'prevent offense' so to speak, and that is rarely successful. They had the game won because of Stroud's play, and he did everything possible to lose it.

This is why a 2 loss sec team should get in. The committee and espn preach about conference champions getting in. But that's so it's not like an all sec playoff. Bama and Tennessee would have been way better teams to be in over Tcu. The committee got it wrong. But I'm preaching to the choir..

I think we are saying the same thing here

Sometimes you don't play to your potential. Remember S. Carolina?
I watched a few TCU games...they played to their potential last night when it comes to top SEC teams..
Was not surprised by the score at all

Tcu did not belong on same field as uga. That said, not sure there were 3 other teams that did.

The disparity between college elite and those trying to be such has never been greater.

What a disappointing game to watch.

Here is something promising. A few years ago I remember watching the Alabama - Clemson game and being amazed by the talent and speed on the field. I remember thinking how lousy we looked in comparison. I thought we were a decade away at best from ever being a team that looked like those guys. The Vols are knocking on the door now.

The Bias was never going to get fixed which is why the SEC refused any expansion if there were any caps or guarantees for conferences other than P5 conferences being guaranteed a spot. Every other president knows the SEC going forward will get a minimum of 3 maybe 4 teams in and Big 10 will always get 2 due to media bias.

“Not so fast my friend” on the SEC getting 3 or 4 teams in an expanded playoff. I think the absolute hatred of the SEC by the media and the rest of the country will result in virtually every “undefeated” team regardless of SoS getting serious consideration for the playoffs over a twice deafeated SEC team (like Tennessee this year) who played a killer schedule. My bet is that the SEC will get only 2 spots maximum in the expanded playoffs as SoS is virtually worthless compared to bias.

How did Michigan lose to TCU!

They gave it away with stupid trick plays that didn't work if I remember correctly. TCU couldn't really stop them either but I think turnovers helped TCU a lot. Georgia probably decided early they weren't going to help TCU with bad play calling.

meh... The CFP can't win. They aren't doing it right, but refining the process won't make it much better. CFP admins are not villains for how they run the CFP; it's simply a construct that shouldn't exist

All SEC fans should just consider the SEC championship the NC. Don't go, don't watch, don't support the CFP. We absolutely don't need it.

SEC could have it's own bowl games, and with Texas and Oklahoma joining, we'll have enough teams. salute.

I never thought Michigan was that good, and I was surprised that Ohio State played as well as they did against UGA. I think OSU woke UGA up and they knew they had work to do to get ready for TCU and they were ready no doubt.

More to the point, if Ryan Day coached to win with 30 seconds left and 1st down at the 30 with two TO's in his pocket. Coached scared and put his kicker in a ridiculous spot. Day and the OSU defense choking down the stretch handed that game to Georgia.
I have an OSU friend and he had been complaining about their coach all season, can't stand him, has said he needed to be fired.

Did you watch the pre-game snippets where Kirby is telling us how they defense different...think he called it middy or something like that ....meaning 4 linemen stay back--- off the line that allows them to rush, or adjust to the play faster. I hope we can steal some tips from this and use it against them in the fall.
And every year seems a Cinderella team gets invited even though we all know they don't belong. Last year was Cinn, and this year was TCU.

I watched the first two possessions of each team and saw it was going to be a blowout, so I flipped the channel and enjoyed the rest of my evening. The CFP is a joke.
