‘23 NC DL Daevin Hobbs (Tennessee commit)

I love how every single time Alabama loses a single game, people immediately start claiming the dynasty is over or “Saban is washed” or “he needs to retire.” I wish that was the case, but let’s be real this is like the 6th time that the “dynasty is ending” has occurred. The Tide very likely will win out the rest of the season and make it to Atlanta. They ain’t going anywhere.

It doesn't happen overnight but it's a gradually and then suddenly deal. The inertia of Alabama will keep them near the top for a couple more seasons and then the doubts about how long the midget will be there will start to really impact them negatively along with increased competition.

When the decline will start it will have the losses to a Mississippi State or a Kentucky or South Carolina and they start finishing at 9-3 or 8-4. It will be when things aren’t being fixed. Could Will Rogers throw for 400 yards this weekend? Maybe, but if Bama doesn’t smoke Miss State this weekend I’ll be surprised. They’re still Bama, they still have the greatest college football coach in history, and they have an amazing quarterback who can carry that squad.

Saban looks healthy and his team is still one of the best in the sport. The landscape of the SEC and CFB is going to be completely different in 2024. He can compete in the future, he just won't be having the same level of success. If he's ok with losing more than 1 game a year he could be around for another 8 years, but I could see him going out on top
If by going out on top, you mean below us, then I agree.

Why play for a jerk like Saban when u can play for a guy that everyone likes Heup and still win?
Because that jerk has put tons and tons of guys in the League and help make lots of people millions of dollars. That’s a hurdle that will always be difficult to use overcome.

They also have a team full of 4 and 5 stars

Not defending Saban but hating the media is nothing to be ashamed of.
Without the interest from the public which is somewhat fueled by the media, these coaches don’t make $millions each year. Those media guys have a job to do like anyone else - they’re not the poparazzi. No reason they shouldn’t be treated with respect. Huepel doesn’t appear to be contentious with the media?
