Garner just wants to teach where he’s wanted and respected. Compensate him fairly and that’s never been an issue. Golesh is going to end up a HC somewhere sometime, but in the meantime he’s not leaving for another OC job…unless he wants to test it out on his own schematically. Doubt that’s the dynamic between he and Heupel.

You have to keep in mind our scheme. It is not as simple as DT or DE. We have essentially a nose guard (kind of what is most often referred to as a DT. Then we have a DT that is more of a strongside DE. Then we have pure pass rushers. Hobbs is not a nose. He is not a pure pass rusher. In our scheme he will be able to play both of the positions that we list as DT and DE. He will not be a LEO.

Kind of. Our 2 inside guys are interchangeable at times. Hobbs will prob be a 3 technique tackle playing on the strong side (lined up usually on outside shoulder of guard, usually with B gap responsibility). I expect they’d want him at about 300.

But let’s get him here first.

Garner is no doubt the best in college football. But after us leading with a few top d-lineman this past off season only for them to go somewhere else, I'll probably wait until we get a commitment/signature before I get my hopes up haha

BTW this comment isn't me criticizing Garner in any way because I know someone will read it that way, I'm just saying I've learn to hold off expectations haha
