'25 NC DL Isaiah Campbell

North Carolina has given Isaiah Campbell a lot to think about. He was in Chapel Hill this weekend and the visit couldn’t have gone any better. The family likes the set up at North Carolina on and off the field and Mack Brown‘s staff has brought the Tar Heels back in this race.

When Campbell decommitted from Clemson, Tennessee was immediately viewed as the favorite. After his official visit to Knoxville, some felt he could commit before taking the visit to North Carolina. Now, the race is “tight” and could go “either way” we are told. The Campbells are expected to have some big discussions this week with a decision potentially coming Thanksgiving week.

UNC 247 some quotes from Campbell

"I think some people are probably going to have their minds blown [by my decision]," Campbell said

"I'm really big as an academic student, but also I'm a really big football player," Campbell said. "And I know I'm a great student and a great athlete at the same time and I have confidence in that. And the thing is with that, you can't just put your schoolwork off just to go play football. You know, you want to have both. I think that's what's big for me. You want to have a great degree and I want to have a great experience. When you could have academics and sports also, I think that is a mind-blower for me."

"Especially with me wanting to [major in] business and either accounting and finance, talking to just great people [at UNC] -- talking with 'Miss Jackie' [Fritsch, Associate Director of Admissions for Kenan Flagler Business School], talking with Mack Brown -- and just the many connections with North Carolina, [UNC has the balance I desire]," Campbell said. "With my decision, it's everything: it's the people, it's the culture, it's the families -- it's really just the unit. I see why Carolina really doesn't accept a whole lot of people because it's a close-knit of the people that really think the same."
Big into academia. Chooses school with non existent classes

Accounting eh? Does that class account for James Madison breaking a foot off in their ass?

Mack Brown probably won't even be the coach there in 2025. With that much uncertainty about the coaching staff, he's only choosing UNC if proximity to home is the #1 factor. Being a former football player and holding a business degree...he'll have similar post-football opportunities regardless of him going to UNC or UT. Developing as a football player and increasing his odds at playing in the NFL should be a top priority considering the short 4-5 year window he has to make it happen. In that regard, UT is clearly better than UNC.

2 things going on here. 1 stay home play at NC or go to Tennessee and play in best conference while competing for Playoff each year. He knows his degree at either School is great and if his talent and commitment is there to be drafted he can go to MTSU and get drafted. Nfl finds talent everywhere. So again it's simple Stay home and play or go to Tennessee and compete for Playoff in best league period. In CHRIST Alone

The Haslem Business School is amongst the best in the country.

Yeah it’s good, I got one of my degrees there, but regardless, business school is all largely the same. You are going to business school for network and connections. If he was going for a specific realm of study and cited their specific offering I would understand but he’s just saying words about, lol, business school(??)

It’s UNC

My daughter graduated with dual degrees of Business Analytics and Marketing with a collateral of supply chain management. When first out of college, interviewing, she had a certification in Google Analytics and potential employers were blown away with that certification and had never seen it before. One employer was in Raleigh, NC. It was rare at the time I guess. 2018ish.

Bro said he cares about academics and is going to business school im sorry I’m out lol

Not to mention Tennessee actually has an incredible business school, so if that’s actually what he was looking for (it’s not) he could have both at Tennessee (football and academics).

He would’ve dropped Accounting at UT anyways, about 70% of the class drops after the first test (unless they made it easier). The ****** part was that you had to finish with a B or B-, can’t remember which one it was.

I studied for hours and got a 25%, I said imma take my talents to Supply Chain Management.

UNC's business school is higher ranked. If he wants to play football, he should go to UT.

Too much weight is put on the “ranking” of a school. Who cares if UNC is a few spots higher, UT still has an extremely good business school with alumni in senior level positions in many organizations across the globe. You can go to UT and get a very, very good business education if that’s what you are looking for.

I’ve lived and taught in North Carolina for twelve years now and the self indulgent fart sniffing of that “culture” doesn’t get half the disdain Michigan does but deserves it equally as much, if not more.
