'25 NC OT David Sanders (Tennessee commit)

AP said the same thing on the radio today too.

Hey...this is a business now. With agents involved, they are gonna try to get leverage everywhere they can. Tackle play has been a REAL struggle in our 2 losses this year and hurt us in other games. Who is watching our Tackles play MORE than Sanders? Literally nobody who isnt on staff. His "team" sees that we badly need him, and use that leverage to get 10% or 20% more cash? Thats good business sense. No reason to hate on the kid. Hes been a class act thru this whole process...and has peer recruited and helped us build the no6 or no7 class nationally with GMac.

Hes a VOL til HE says he isnt. Go VOLS. Go Sanders. Lets go beat the brakes off Vandy and then hopefully catch a Big10 team like OSU in the playoffs and show them exactly what SEC football looks like.

That might be “good” business sense for some but once you give your word, it should be over. People who come back leveraging after a deal has been done often find out they’ve overplayed their hand. Then the word out is you can’t be trusted.

My feeling is if OSU meets all their demands, why come back to Tennessee? You can’t keep playing one against the other.

No, but signing day is next week. So he won’t have to keep playing one against the other.

I’ll be honest, it took everyone by surprise up here when he committed to Tennessee. We were hearing equally re-assuring things as Vol Nation was. He was extremely close with the staff, loved the culture, loved the city, etc. I wouldn’t surprise me at all if he ends up being a Buckeye. There’s few programs in the country who can compete with The Ohio State University. Indiana and Tennessee are two that cannot.
What sewer pipe floated your turd face here? Are we speaking of competing against the same suckeyes that are are like 2-10 against the SEC and couldn't beat Harbaugh?

I hope we draw your stupid asses in the playoff and wreck your oline for proof of concept.

I get your point, but if you’re honestly going to sit there and tell us that if you were a recruit and know that you can squeeze a few more 0s out of a school by suggesting you might flip and you’re not going to do that because “you gave us your word,” then I certainly applaud your humility, but the rest of us will be laughing on our way to the bank.

I think there is some truth to both though. You can negotiate a shrewd deal and not go back on your word.

Ive been in business 45+ yrs negotiating contacts far greater than the amount we are talking here. At some point theres a spot were it’s “game over, we’re done”. We were told when he committed that was the case.

Let’s say his NILis $1mi, I have no clue, but 10% is $100,000. You gonna risk your reputation for $100,000 when you have $1 mil already? Sprye can’t play that game cause that $100k could end up costing them far more when every other player decides to do the same.

Reasons why Ohio State sucks:

Ohio State's record vs SEC Teams: 4-14-1 The Four Wins 2014 Alabama 1988 LSU 1935 Kentucky 1933 Vanderbilt. That's one win this century and 2 wins in the last 89 years. lol
Ohio State is now 1-13 against the SEC in bowl games

Football Bowl Subdivision Teams Ohio State Has Played And Never Beaten
  • Clemson (0-4) ...
  • Florida State (0-3) ...
  • Florida (0-2) ...
  • South Carolina (0-2) ...
  • Auburn (0-1-1) ...
  • Air Force (0-1) ...
  • Georgia (0-1) ...
  • Tennessee (0-1)
- Ryan Day wears makeup and dyes his beard
- Are pretentious without have reason to be. The only ones amused by saying "The" Ohio State University are OSU fans. Are there a lot of Ohio State Universities that you have to make that distinction.
- Plays in a slow, unathletic conference, and brags about how good their defense looks. The top offense in the league, Oregon, is 20th in YPG. Penn State is 21st. Then you have offensive juggernauts like Purdue, Northwestern, Michigan, Iowa, and UCLA all ranked over 100th.

Man, Darnell Washington would be proud.

We've talked about firing Elarbee, GMac, OSU, UGA, medical school, we've had a FB post, a troll, a banning, insiders dropping knowledge, besmirched the kids character, praised the kids character, trashed our team, trashed their team, trashed a "handler", boasted about NIL, trashed on NIL, AP refusing to talk, secret visits, Wiltfong offering a couple of Whiparounds, a commitment, and finally a secret VFL sign.

We're just missing daycares, secret numerology, flight plane tracking, and MIT Beaver to complete the recruiting cycle. Maybe a LOI snafu as the fax machine breaks down.
