Fantasies are fun until you wake up the next day…I know all the speculating going on and the social media posts and what the insiders have said… however as much as this kid has been peer recruiting why has no one thought that maybe he visited OSU because our staff is quietly trying to flip one of their guys right now?
Maybe he was there talking to a DB or TE recruit of theirs who made the trip too.
What is an emoji? Also, what is instagram?Has anyone shared the instagram post of David Sanders using emojis to say he is not flipping? I haven’t seen it yet
What if it wasn't David that created it. What if, it were parents intervening due to negatively perceived yarns, spun by OSU via an Agent?I thought David has a great head on his shoulders. This unnecessary drama right before signing day proves that was false. I’m sure still a great kid but this is a small ding in how mature and put together he was for his age. Our coaches shouldn’t have to be wasting resources on keeping this guy when we have many others to try and land.
To be fair, the guys on this board that I trust, King and Stoerner, reported yesterday that it was more likely than not he remained at Tennessee, but still ongoing. That has not changed, per se, but King says it’s moving more in our favor. So I wake up this morning and check this thread and now we are at a 180 and he’s confirming he’s not flipping? Is that accurate?
You have no clue what the back story is on this so judging his character from the outside looking in is not very mature as well.I thought David has a great head on his shoulders. This unnecessary drama right before signing day proves that was false. I’m sure still a great kid but this is a small ding in how mature and put together he was for his age. Tell me who had the top rated QB in 2023 and now 2026.I’ll be honest, it took everyone by surprise up here when he committed to Tennessee. We were hearing equally re-assuring things as Vol Nation was. He was extremely close with the staff, loved the culture, loved the city, etc. I wouldn’t surprise me at all if he ends up being a Buckeye. There’s few programs in the country who can compete with The Ohio State University. Indiana and Tennessee are two that cannot.
Thank you for the information. Regardless of the topic, I always look for your posts on here to shoot me straight.I’m not going to bother anyone on Thanksgiving week before the game that decides whether we go to our first ever 12 team playoff, but at 3 today our coaches still believe he’s coming here. They were notified that he was going to OSU last weekend and they don’t think he’s visiting again. He has had some doubt and wanted to hear them out. Right now they believe he’s too close to too many signees, players and coaches and will commit officially on the 4th. OSU is on his ass 24 hours a day and throwing everything at getting him. Anything can change. Right now, the read is that he’s sticking with his commitment. I don’t know anymore than that and don’t plan on talking to anyone again til Monday.
Not to mention a good olineman is pretty expensive. Better from a cost perspective to have a kid with lots of potential and lower NIL value, and develop them into a draft pick over some odd years. That said, strategy hinges on development. This is a terrible strategy.
Lineman transfer at a lower rate and the hit rate is much lower.
