Not to mention a good olineman is pretty expensive. Better from a cost perspective to have a kid with lots of potential and lower NIL value, and develop them into a draft pick over some odd years. That said, strategy hinges on development.

What we can’t do is portal first and pay up for a kid that ends up being not as good as hoped or injury prone and then nobody to back up and no hope of getting better as the season progresses. That’s a recipe for disaster.

Strategy also hinges on signing enough HS OL and we aren’t doing that.

I don't know about his development, but I saw him during the vol walk Saturday. He is built like a tree.

Basically see if he shows up to their Michigan game. If that were to happen it is over. Sanders did his part to pause it a little. He responded to their QB commmit with a shaking head no emoji. That kid then replied with a time and fingers crossed emojis. Hope springs eternal. For both fanbases.

I know all the speculating going on and the social media posts and what the insiders have said… however as much as this kid has been peer recruiting why has no one thought that maybe he visited OSU because our staff is quietly trying to flip one of their guys right now?

Maybe he was there talking to a DB or TE recruit of theirs who made the trip too.
