'25 NC OT David Sanders (Tennessee commit)

I know all the speculating going on and the social media posts and what the insiders have said… however as much as this kid has been peer recruiting why has no one thought that maybe he visited OSU because our staff is quietly trying to flip one of their guys right now?

Maybe he was there talking to a DB or TE recruit of theirs who made the trip too.

Yeah, maybe. Just trying to read the tea leaves.
Your leaves may be right next year. I’m hoping to be surprised by who we already have here but I think we need to add a lineman or two via the portal. We’re just not deep enough or talented enough yet to deal with an injury on the Oline. Of course I say that about us but UGA also looked like crap when they had a few guys injured earlier this year.

I don’t see that honestly. We’ve got most of our guys this class locked down or really close.

I’ll be honest, it took everyone by surprise up here when he committed to Tennessee. We were hearing equally re-assuring things as Vol Nation was. He was extremely close with the staff, loved the culture, loved the city, etc. I wouldn’t surprise me at all if he ends up being a Buckeye. There’s few programs in the country who can compete with The Ohio State University. Indiana and Tennessee are two that cannot.
WRONG!

Question - why are you on another team’s message board? To troll? You guys should finally beat Michigan.

I'll be just as honest, Columbus, Ohio is a 3rd world toilet hellhole for the homeless and Ohio State sucks. Time to go back to your cache of gay porn, you douche bag loser.

Mostly the agent going back to Ohio State when we weren’t caving on every single (ridiculous) point that the agent was requesting.
Why is it kids/families let this type stuff go on from an agents standpoint. At what point do they say enough is enough. Guess I’m just naive to the whole process. Can’t imagine letting and agent determine for my kid/family what the talking points would be.

Don’t let this guy get your blood up. Just hit ignore and have nice day. He’s only preaching out of insecurity-straight from the Bama playbook

Reasons why Ohio State sucks:

Ohio State's record vs SEC Teams: 4-14-1 The Four Wins 2014 Alabama 1988 LSU 1935 Kentucky 1933 Vanderbilt. That's one win this century and 2 wins in the last 89 years. lol
Ohio State is now 1-13 against the SEC in bowl games

Football Bowl Subdivision Teams Ohio State Has Played And Never Beaten
  • Clemson (0-4) ...
  • Florida State (0-3) ...
  • Florida (0-2) ...
  • South Carolina (0-2) ...
  • Auburn (0-1-1) ...
  • Air Force (0-1) ...
  • Georgia (0-1) ...
  • Tennessee (0-1)
- Ryan Day wears makeup and dyes his beard
- Are pretentious without have reason to be. The only ones amused by saying "The" Ohio State University are OSU fans. Are there a lot of Ohio State Universities that you have to make that distinction.
- Plays in a slow, unathletic conference, and brags about how good their defense looks. The top offense in the league, Oregon, is 20th in YPG. Penn State is 21st. Then you have offensive juggernauts like Purdue, Northwestern, Michigan, Iowa, and UCLA all ranked over 100th.

^^^ POST OF THE MONTH candidate

This is a terrible strategy.

Lineman transfer at a lower rate and the hit rate is much lower.
The low hit rate would be a reason to go the portal route since you could see who has already panned out at the college level and should have a higher success rate. There not being as many available would still be a problem, but one that could be solved with money.

He should be focused the Michigan game seeing how they have owned the last 3 games of the series. It's weird he feels the need to post on other teams boards. He can't have much going on in his life.

There's been a concerted effort to convince people this has absolutely nothing to do with creating leverage to ask for more money but that's what all these late visits across the recruiting world have primarily been about. We're going to just have to accept that this is the way it's going to be from now on and stress less when we see it happen. It's not changing. It's the new normal. And honestly with the transfer portal and Tennessee's ability to attract high-level transfers to fill holes on the roster, we all should stress far less about HS recruiting. The portal has really made HS recruiting rankings much less relevant. Finish in the top 10 and you're doing well. Teams that are allocating more resources to HS recruiting to the detriment of their portal game (LSU for instance) are figuring out that's not really the way to go. Sure you can finish top 5 in recruiting if you do that, but how many of those recruits actually remain at those schools all 4 years? It's cheaper to do it that way, that's why they do it, but it ain't a recipe to win championships.

We know dickface. You’re in the top 5 and usually top 3 recruiting every year. Enjoy your consistent underperforming with said talent under Ryan Day. And for being so talented (on paper), you sure seem to struggle when you play an SEC team vs a team from your cupcake ass conference. You haven’t beaten an SEC team in 10 years and you couldn’t score more than 3 points in your most recent outing.

Shouldn’t you be getting ready for Old Dominion?

Some people are convinced the portal is the answer to everything. I know my opinion is unpopular, but I'm concerned about our OL next year, in Nico season 2. All the learning and experience this year could mean very little if he doesn't have an OL that can keep him clean. Whether or not we keep Sanders, which I really hope we do, I still think we have to hope to get lucky on a couple of OL in the portal for next season. We're losing at least 5 guys who contribute on this season's OL. Mays, Spraggins, Campbell, Davis, and Lampley. Not sure where Karic sits on eligibility. That's a lot of experience to lose all at once.

We also lose Karic as well as the aforementioned 5.
