This recruitment makes you appreciate the ho-hum/drama free signing days of the past few years. Nothing will ever compare to the drama and excitement of yesteryear's signing days, but I've come to enjoy the "boring" signing days.

Portal is a terrible place to live for OL recruiting and specifically tackle recruiting.

At some point we have to be able to shut down big time, big boy recruitments. Send in the big fisherman. He'll shut it down.

Fun fact, his career began where I grew up in Princeton, Missouri and he was hired by my cousins husband. Princeton is about 1;250 people with about 60 students in a class. He’s a great success story imo!

Yes, I’m of that opinion just like many others on this board. His lines get obliterated vs Georgia. Every single season. They’ll get obliterated again if Tennessee has to face Jim Knowles defense. Hopefully a final nail in the coffin for big Glenn who has to have his hand held to sign recruits

That is fair but let's be honest here, our entire team has gotten obliterated by UGA since Heupel took over. Every single loss has been by double digits.

Dumb question but if the players become outright employees what keeps them from just being in college forever? How can the ncaa who has no power dictate eligibility to 5~ years? Pavia is already trying to sue for extra time due to going juco… wouldn’t there be some big antitrust lawsuits again saying you cant limit an employee to 5 years eligibility? I am obviously not a lawyer

The assumption is that if they are made employees there will be collective bargaining- and if you have that you can get around the antitrust lawsuits (like the other major sports leagues)

The guy who posted that seems fairly connected. He’s known about some things well before it became public, specifically Kesling’s retirement. The poster said that was going to happen months before it happened.
