You’re reaching, rounding up to support whatever point you’re making (disingenuous). And the measurables I pulled were from their supposed high school profiles.Already 2 inches taller than Ward and 1 inch taller than Dixon was at their apex…as a high school sophomore. With a bigger frame than either.
Ward was smaller, frame-wise and height-wise, and had a weaker arm (which is why he wasn't drafted in the NFL). The offense at FSU was tailored to maximize his strengths and minimize his weaknesses (he couldn't hit the deep out like someone with high-end arm talent can, for example). Brandon has much more arm talent, even at such a young age. It will only get stronger. You’re reaching, rounding up to support whatever point you’re making (disingenuous). It’s not a perfect science making comparisons. I just don’t see the kid growing 2 inches and adding 50 pounds, and becoming a run first dual threat, in 2 seasons of high school ball, to be compared more to cam newton than the ones I referenced.
Why don’t you throw a name out there that he reminds you of?
Charlie Ward arm critique and comparison I’ll buy. But watch his highlights, he was really “rangy” (the part that most makes the comparison for me) and it led to play that was bigger than his listed 6 2.5 195. Dennis Dixon Arm and Charlie Ward athletic movement, I still see it. I honestly don’t recall Dennis Dixon running style that much bc of how much I remember him being great passing from the pocket. But the more I think about it, the more I think this kid compares overall to Dixon, both throwing and athletically. Hopefully with better knees though.Ward was smaller, frame-wise and height-wise, and had a weaker arm (which is why he wasn't drafted in the NFL). I can see the Dennis Dixon comp, though. I'll throw another name out there: Vince Young. Very similar delivery, height (Brandon isn't as thick, but maybe fills out) and running ability with those long strides.
The OP on the subject said STRICTLY from a physical and arm talent stand point. He didn’t refer to style of play. You’re reaching, rounding up to support whatever point you’re making (disingenuous). And the measurables I pulled were from their supposed high school profiles.
