I don't know how good he is or isn't. The family feels like he's very good. He's just small.I have a feeling he will never see the field. I am sure he is a good kid, but he showed nothing at App State.
If his name was not Shuler, he would not be on this roster
Hope no time soon lol no offense to the kid but I really want hooker to pass the reigns to tayven I wouldn’t be mad with one more attempt at Joe Milton after 3 years of CJH molding him but if we get to navy would mean we missed on some higher guys…I've got a funny feeling this kid is going to be thrust into action at some point..............and play really well when he does.
In what respect and with what opportunities? Are you close enough to the program to have observed practices? How can he show anything good or bad if he didn't play or as best I can find ever attempt a pass?I hope he does well, but I know he did not show much at App State.
Didn't assume you did. I'm just wondering what you have to base any opinion on? Not sure how old you are but Baker Mayfield started as a Fr Walk-on at TTU. The opportunity fell in his lap. Not common... a Cinderella story to be sure that a short, small QB would walk on and become a success in both CFB and NFL. I don't know Navy. If I've ever seen him it was when he was a baby... maybe. But I know the family and am FB friends with several. They were excited and believe he's a talented guy. Families are biased of course... but they know him and have seen him play.I do not wish bad for him.
From where we sit today, it looks like Tayven has more "upside". But wouldn't that all be better judged after it happens? If JG didn't teach us anything... it is that the true test of a QB is when the bullets start flying. We have other QBs with much more upside and I think we will would be in trouble if we were depending on him.
Really? I had not read that. Do you have a source? Wonder why West Shuler didn't get special treatment. He's family. He has an NIL because he is a Shuler, not because of his potential to be the QB at UT.
Agree. And my problem with what you're posting isn't anything I have vested in Navy Shuler... just that you're making definitive statements without saying how you "know" them to be true. The company paying him has every right to do so.
Much too early... but I won't be shocked if UT recruits over both of them in the next class.Hope no time soon lol no offense to the kid but I really want hooker to pass the reigns to tayven I wouldn’t be mad with one more attempt at Joe Milton after 3 years of CJH molding him but if we get to navy would mean we missed on some higher guys…
You have valid points and I should have refrained from posting on Navy. I will erase my post and I respect you for admonishing me. I do hope he does well. Thank you for helping me see that I need to take a break from VN.In what respect and with what opportunities? Are you close enough to the program to have observed practices? Yeah. That's what you should take from that exchange... good grief. If you have reasons for believing something then say so. If it is an unqualified opinion then don't act like that's "just the way it will be".You have valid points and I should have refrained from posting on Navy. Nobody thinks we're doing nothing with nil. People just don't believe we're dropping hundreds of thousands of dollars. Not sure why that's such an absurd thought. Also not not sure why y'all get so butthurt when someone has a different opinion on the matter. There's zero proof anywhere we're spending six figures on anyone.but we’re not doing anything with NIL
Zero proof. Except Volquest and Swain telling us we are. But those guys don’t know anything. They’re just lying and making it upNobody thinks we're doing nothing with nil.
