He is. He said "Shrout has a strong arm but doesn't know where it is going half the time."
I don’t have any issue with him using stats and percentages to back his boy, but PLAY IT STRAIGHT. I lean towards not making a final judgement on JG until all the facts are in, but K-Town contriving shortcomings with someone he considers a threat, smacks of desperation. Totally defeats his purpose. Perfectly plausible that Shrout falls short to both JG and Maurer and/or Bailey but whatever happened to the old concept of letting things happen as they fall?Obviously you don’t understand reading comprehension. Because for Pruitt to say Shrout may have the strongest arm but has to learn what is going on out there. He is saying Shrout has the strongest arm but doesn’t know the playbook or always make the right decisions when throwing the ball. Lol but again you will say anything to keep JG in the golden light.
You are literally something else and it seems by each day that you are someone related to JG. You literally think JG has no flaws and is the best QB ever.
Oklahoma reminds me of Ole Miss. Potent offense, terrible defense. The only thing bad about this is as long as the offense is clicking then good but with not much depth on the defense you will wear down in the third quarter and get your azz kicked in the fourth quarter this is not the big 12 where you just try to out score the other team 52-49, Oklahoma would have been a 8 and 4 team to a 9 and 3 team in the SEC.
List the “many” that have even COMPARED the two arms. Nothing you post resembles what the original writers WROTE. You can’t control your fiction anymore...if you ever could. So a straight shooter like Pruitt is now beating around the bush?
He also talked about JG having great arm strength.
May means maybe. Sorry you dont understand words.
So maybe JG or maybe JT.
Many more people have touted JG's arm strength than JT. He had several national experts say JG has one of the strongestarms they have ever seen. So you stop ignoring that fact.
He said Shrout has a strong arm but is inaccurate and makes bad decisions some times. Backing up his 51% and 1/1 td not ratio.
I’m really tired of hearing the theme “we can’t recruit with the likes of Bama and UGA”...if you can get a foundation going and prove that you can develop some quality recruits and get results then the players will follow. Look at butch, he could recruit but once they saw that he couldn’t coach develop the roster that’s when the snowball effect happened and everything went to crap. We have the facilities and fan base to rival the best. That would be great but seems like a pipe dream. It will be difficult to equal their recruiting and nearly impossible to exceed it. I don’t think we can beat them running a similar system with inferior talent.
Personally I think Maurer would be perfect for a balanced offense. I watched his highlights and elite 11 episodes. Rolls out of the pocket nicely, throws accurately while scrambling, runs good enough to gain extra yards, and has a great attitude and disposition.I honestly don’t think Pruitt is building this offense for JG. I think this is an offense for the future. Shrout and Maurer are known to have accuracy on the run. JG is not known for that but he can do it.
Being able to roll out will help both the OL and JG though. So it will be interesting how things go with whoever we get.
I never said many have compared the two. Only the coaches and local guys. They all say its close between JG and Shrout. More people have touted JG's arm throughout their careers. One reason one was a top 60 player and one was a top 700 player.List the “many” that have even COMPARED the two arms. Nothing you post resembles what the original writers WROTE. So (very) long story short...they didn’t compare the two arms? Which doesn’t jibe with your contention that “many” have declared JG’s far superior. I’m not the one to digress with concerning JG. I’m open to his development. I have no declared narratives. Thanks for bringing up Trent Dilfer btw. He’s the one that declared that CFL WR a “first round QB” talent.I never said many have compared the two. Only the coaches and local guys. They all say its close between JG and Shrout. I'll give a few examples. Actual big names in the field too.

"the words of famed quarterback coach George Whitfield Jr. — most known for coaching Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel, Jameis Winston, and Andrew Luck, among others . . . 'One of the biggest arms in college football,' . . . 'He is the prototype of what you want going into the SEC. With all that legendary strength and quickness and how all of those defenders shrink the field, you need someone who can equal that out and he is that in spades. You will have to guard the depth and width of the field against the Vols going forward. "

Guarantano set the all-time SPARQ rating at the quarterback position.
(Only at the best qb camp)
Needless to say, Guarantano very well could be the most gifted athlete to ever suit up for Tennessee at the quarterback position. But can he throw the ball? Former NFL quarterback and head of the Elite 11 Competition Trent Dilfer talked up Guarantano’s arm to USA Today.
"He’s almost too talented," Dilfer said. Essentially, Guarantano can make every throw in the book — and do so with unmatched speed and power –

Big things were expected from Jarrett Guarantano when he arrived for The Opening, and by the end of it plenty of folks were talking about his strong performance.
The arm strength of the Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic quarterback and Tennessee commit stood out and he made impressive throws to the sideline and down the field.

Even in local articles that mention Shrout's arm they also tout JG's.
No question who's arm has been more touted through their playing careers.
JG will get to show it with the new OC.
I NEVER SAID THAT MANY PEOPLE COMPARED THE TWO AND SAID JG HAD A STRONGER ARM. Learn to read. I said he has had more people tout it period. I have also said everyone says its close between the two, which is the truth. So (very) long story short...they didn’t compare the two arms?
