'19 NC RB Quavaris Crouch (Tennessee signee)

K-Town has access to these “experts” who must be paid to discuss Vol athletes and compare their relative strengths...and he won’t share said access. As far as your post, when were restrictions put on critiquing college athletes?
Never. Just saying collegiate athletes seem to take less heat than the professionals which I don't have a problem with.

Haven't seen any JG criticism that wasn't based on statistical fact or his body of work. Any QB who could move at ALL would have won two more games this year. Plenty of pro style QB's out there who can scramble yet we are saddled with a Dual Threat QB who isnt actually a dual threat QB..

That first sentence had me laughing out loud. Thanks.

I really don't like the speed up game unless you have the defense to support it and we don't. I like offenses that can control the ball make ten yards running 12 play or more drives that result in scoring points. Okla St playing 63 to 49 games almost every week. I guess they are fun to watch but really think the best teams have both an offense that can hit quickly if need be but also control the ball for a lot of minutes in a game. The Pruitt style allowed us 29 minutes of possession per game even as terrible as our offense was. This kept us in a lot of games and allowed us to win some like Kentucky and Auburn plus almost SC.

I figured we were waiting on either the bowl games or NFL season to end. It may be a really happy new year for the Volnation. Just a little more patience.

But if the class looks pretty decent thus far do the recruits KNOW who the new guy is or are they signing hoping a great hire happens??

What impresses me about him amongst the candidates is the variety of QBs he’s developed. This year’s was a walk-on. I’m weary of our whole team breaking down because the back-up nickel gets hurt. Coach up what you got and when Pruitt & crew get you even better the gains wills be even better...instead of the beginning.

It could also be Dooley that's offered the job :)

1. He's been an SEC head coach
2. Desciple of Nick Saban
3. Been in the NFL
4. Been an OC

Hell, he sounds more qualified than our HC...

Most guys aren't Trey. He is the rare exception along the OL. OLs aren't like freshman skill players. Many have said Wright will need S&C and Morris may need surgery and miss Spring. I'll hold off expectations till y2.
You only get a 5star rating if you are expected to contribute right away. Our OL clearly needs more talent. They will play right away, the others will need development. Trey was NOT a rare exception of 5star OL starting and doing well as Freshman as it happens every year for nearly every team in the SEC. Trey was rare in that he played at an All-American level as a Fr.
