'19 NC RB Quavaris Crouch (Tennessee signee)

No.

I refuse to accept this is as good as Tennessee can do for an Offensive Coordinator.

If we can't pull in either Pete Carroll or Dabo Swinney as our next OC, we should at least be swinging for a Dan Mullen type. $10M/year is not too much for excellence. We can afford it.

Our administration clearly doesn't care enough to truly create a championship program. I'm out. Selling my 30 season tickets as soon as they run out in 2023.

Yea but if bama hadn't of went into clock control offense. Bama would have put up at least 70 in my opinion.

Probably...never said O was ever in game, I was strictly talking about the O....no argument from me on outcome of game.

Nah, conditioning doesn't matter when the OL is in the back field every play.

His schemes won't work until that OL can go to the store and buy some man-up.

I know this is a trap. However, I believe our O-line will be vastly improved this year. Most teams rebuilding make the biggest jumps in the 2nd and 3rd year. See Baylor for an example.

We definitely have some big help on the way. Both Wanya and Wright are grown men. They will have freshman struggles but it’s been a while since we had lineman that looked like coming through Knoxville; except for Trey Smith

IMO .... after seeing film . ... I don't see Morris or Wright if we get him starting. ... they are very raw in alot of spots... so they may see action mid year as they learn and get stronger .... so we are stuck with same guys till mid year .... hopefully they get bigger and stronger in off season to hold down fort till young guys ready ....Lampley may be in that same group. .. the other OL from IMG and King Academy is s definate red shirt ....

Little different there they are playing for a NC and I can understand the need for no distractions plus I don't think they have been looking as long as UT has. Apple to Apple not Apple to Orange. lol
I understand that. Not comparing us to Bama. Last year, pretty sure Locksley wasn’t named until close to February. VN acts like this situation is completely unheard of when it’s not.

I'd guess if Yurich really wants to move from Oklahoma State he's probably looking for a HC gig in a year or two. He can't really prove himself at Ok State. He's always going to be seen as being a guy running whatever Mike Gundy wants to run and Gundy will get the credit for it. After all, Gundy had teams average 45-50ish points per game before Yurich ever coached a down there. If he can go to Tennessee and make an offense work, especially with a DC head coach, he will have proven himself worthy on his own without the Gundy effect.

Remember,,,, all these wonderful stats have come in the little 12, not the SEC.
That being said, the number of times we would get the ball per game, would either go down, because the other teams just wouldn't let us have it, and this would not allow us to run so many plays per game. It think it can be said that in the little 12 the dominant force is offense. In the SEC it defense or a balance of both sides of the ball.

Have you checked out the last dozen or so times the Big 12 has played an SEC opponent? Averaging over 30 points per game. Yes, they don't play defense quite as well, but they don't really stall on offense regardless of the opponent.

Lets not get all crazy about this news either, the job was offered it has not been accepted. So until I hear that, it is just a report by a reporter.

Exactly. Yurich tried to get the Akron head coach job this year and reportedly wants to be a head coach of a MAC program or similar place. He needs an OC job away from Gundy to prove himself. Not saying he is coming here but don't look for him to stay at OSU much longer.

Look what it took to get those 34. A once in a lfetime type of player playing out of his mind.
Yeah and the kid looked like a boxer who had got beaten and thrown out of the ring. Once when the camera was on him the look on his face said " what in the world am I doing here. Bring me my glove, baseball and bat, I've had enough of this

Take some time and read about Yurcich and you’ll like what you find, I did. He has the knowledge, and people skills to get it done. Also read about the Oklahoma state O and you’ll be impressed. It is not all air raid, smoke and mirrors. We still have to have players and play football. Many teams in the sec are running a similar offense and/or incorporating the RPO including bammer. Seems Pruitt was exposed to the style of O at AL. Seems he is after the best OC he can find to run it.

JG never made it passed his second option, not with our weak line we had.
Needs to be better at reading defenses. To be fair, don’t think he has been coached fairly past few season.

Needs to improve his pre snap reads. Needs to run for his life and throw immediately after the snap.

5 star OL seldom sit the bench. They both will very likely start day1. If they don't then their skill may not live up to their ranking. If they enroll early then you can almost guarantee that they will start as both are big and strong enough as they are now.

Most guys aren't Trey. He is the rare exception along the OL. OLs aren't like freshman skill players. Many have said Wright will need S&C and Morris may need surgery and miss Spring. I'll hold off expectations till y2.

Morris has already stated he’s not having surgery and that the injury is expected to heal by Spring.

Most criticism of JG is ignorant BS spewing from mouths of people that have no idea what they’re talking about. JG has a lot he can improve upon, but at the end of the day it’s moot if he’s being hit within 2 seconds of getting the ball. I would wager JG actually did about as well as any other QB would of done in the situation other than extremely mobile QBs.
Haven't seen any JG criticism that wasn't based on statistical fact or his body of work. Any QB who could move at ALL would have won two more games this year. Plenty of pro style QB's out there who can scramble yet we are saddled with a Dual Threat QB who isnt actually a dual threat QB..
