My point is, they do that no matter what they run. They aren't trying to run plays as fast as humanly possible for the sake of running plays.

Yes, they try and score. But Urban Meyer basketball on grass it is not.

All I am saying is we shouldn't try and replicate Butch Jones style. Speed for the sake of speed isn't the as newer. Let's get someone that is going to build on what we are trying to do, trying to build. We can't block. We can't tackle. We don't have the strength, conditioning, or depth to play with the Vanderbilts, let alone the Alabamas.

Let's build it one step at a time. Let's beat Vanderbilt every year, Kentucky every year, Missouri every year. When we can do that, let's work on beating USCjr and Florida every year. When we can do that, then we can worry about subtlety of how fast we run plays.

I’m trying to stay positive during this entire debacle. It’s like watching the Bad News Bears try to hire a coach. I fear that at this point and until proven otherwise, look to be underwhelmed with the OC hire.

And Kamara averaged 6.5 and 5.8 at Tennessee, you want Butch back?

Let's worry about running them right. Let's worry about basic blocking and tackling.

If we get him, so be it. I hope he leads the nation in points, yards, running, etc. I hope he gives us our first Heisman.

But I'm afraid it will be a step back to try to focus on running a lot of plays really fast when can't even run them slow.

I hope you are right and I'm wrong.

I doubt we will have to worry about it either way. We likely have our OC but for some strange reason Pruitt refuses to announce it.

I hate when we are publicly involved in coaching battles and lose...it makes us look like a second-rate team [which we are not]...our JP & coaches have done a great job here...we are getting better...can't wait to turn the corner and be a TOP DOG again...VFL 🤟🤘
