'19 NC RB Quavaris Crouch (Tennessee signee)

Def not but I will say it’s about 50/50 now. Past month they have gained tons of momentum. I think Crouch really wants to be on a team that is winning now but he also likes our staff a lot. So we will see
Not to be rude at what I'm going to ask. I've pondered many ways to ask this without it sounding slanderous, but understand that's not my intent so i'll just spit it out. Why do you talk like an insider?

He’s not.

Not being rude or slanderous at all. I’ve explained a bit before but basically I sum it up simply like this. Because I am told things from time to time from a source I feel confident about. But I don’t think I’m an insider unless those things come into fruition. They have not fully yet. At the end of the day I’m just passing along what I hear.

RB or LB?

That's going to be entirely up to Crouch. Tennessee and the other schools recruiting him have left that open-ended, as far as I can tell, and if he wants to play linebacker, that's probably where he's going to get his first look wherever he goes. He still hasn't made up his mind on what he wants to do there, so most of the teams he's considering really haven't zeroed in on either side of the ball. If you recruited him as a RB and then he decided he wants to play linebacker, you'd basically be eliminating yourself for maybe no reason. But it's worth noting that Crouch told me back in late August that he thought at that time that the Vols wanted him more as a running back. That was just his interpretation, though. They hadn't straight-up told him that.

On the running backs you mentioned, I wouldn't say Tennessee is "broadening" its board. Witherspoon and Mimms are guys the Vols have been evaluating for a while, and they still haven't offered either of them. If they start handing out more offers at RB, perhaps that will be something to read into, but right now I don't think anything really has changed there. The bottom line is Tennessee wants a running back in this class, and the Vols probably can't count on Crouch being that guy even if they get him, because he's not really sure what position he wants to play.

Concerning Henry T. I think Bama has the Polynesian pipeline strong with Tua and Taulia locked in. I think this plays a factor. Just my opinion.
tosh is the biggest reason. and he's a de lasalle alum to boot. that's also the big reason we're in it with Kevin Simon being involved, also a de lasalle alum.

i don't know if i'm ready to give up on HT, but i do think it's going to be difficult to land him.

Didn’t know that about Tosh. Yea he’s going to Alabama.

more than likely.

but, you never know. you gottan get him back on campus. now that he's not coming for the unofficial (and it may just be logistical/financial reaons...trip from Cali is a long one) it kinda puts all the pressure on getting him for an OV.

if he comes for the OV, there's a chance. if he doesn't OV, then that's all you need to know.

so like everything else....we'll see. but i wouldn't hold my breath here.
