Lmao

Eh I get it. But I'm also from this area and coach in this area. I have my reservations.

You coach in Charlotte? I live nearby, and actually played my HS ball for Harding HS, 20 years ago...i was a Ram just like Crouch. I have never seen the kid play, but while recruiting services have some misses and some busts...for him to be ranked #1 in the country by any major service leads me to believe he is the real deal...it would be embarrassing for a service to rank him number 1 and him not pan out to be a back or LB able to earn and play a starting position in the SEC, right??? I think he will end up at LB if his knee still gives him problems, and RB if it doesnt...and he will contribute either way. I could be wrong though, have only seen film. He needs to gain some weight to play LB, though. Hr has a really big frame, though...shouldnt be hard to gain weight. iMO

If he rebounds and is healthy, leggoooooo but if not, I would pass. He's had two injuries in as many years.

Come on Crouch, this is what you wanted to see!
With how much he was feeling us over the summer... knowing the season that was in store after that dumpster fire of a coaching search, almost scrapping a whole recruiting class that somehow found some life after NSD, and 0-8 SEC play the year prior... I'm not sure why he was ever considering UT as a destination if he's not pumped with the direction things are headed in now.

This coaching staff has demonstrated that they can already put up a fight against the non-elite SEC schools with inferior, previously poorly-coached talent. The hardest thing to do as a coach is take a bunch of kids ingrained with bad habits, and coach them to drop those bad habits without having to stop and reflect on the correct action during a play. Pruitt and his staff are far from correcting all the issues, but they've done a stand-up job hiding the deficiencies of our roster and scheming the talent they do have to succeed.

.... But that's what has to happen to compete with elite programs... it has to be instinctual muscle memory to make the right decision from 11 guys per play every play to compete with the Alabamas of the world. It takes excellent coaching and top-tier athletes that have the speed/power/athleticism to get the job done to begin with.

By the time Crouch is ready to head to the NFL in 3-4 years, this program will be back, competing for SEC and national championships... I'm confident of that. That extra 1-2 years of SEC exposure could do wonders for his draft stock. It really should be considered a mutual best interest for the play time up for grabs in this level of program that has a deep fan base, huge national stage, top of the line facilities/coaching/training staff/school resources, and as a plus, running behind the top 2 OL recruits in the nation if he chooses to come as a RB... and not just for Crouch specifically... Haselwood, Morris, Wright, Pappoe, Crouch, To'oto'o, Eboigbe, Keyton, McCollough, Emory Jr/Gray... there's a real chance to build a championship roster with one killer class here... the recruiting buzz is real, on-the-field momentum is real, and we have a passionate coaching staff that can make these kids NFL ready...

Let's get it! Mizzou... ur up next! WGWTFA

Let the hype train commence! We back!!! And keep ur damn BVS out of my Kentucky victory hype train

“Coach Pruitt man. Coach Pruitt,” Crouch said of why he visited. “I always thought I was going to come on a visit. I just believe in what he's preaching and that he can change the program.”

Crouch saw the Vols play West Virginia in the season opener and says he's seen a team grow and a program develop over the last couple of months.

“You see improvement,” Crouch said. “You see that they just need more players. The schemes work. Coach Pruitt coached at Alabama. He learned from coach (Nick) Saban. He knows what he's doing. He just needs the players to do it."

“The people and the opportunity,” Crouch said of what stands out about the Vols.

The opportunity is clear to see and the people center around a coaching staff that's not always selling. He is close with first-year tight ends coach Brian Niedermeyer, who has youthful energy that has related well on the recruiting trail, and veteran co-defensive coordinator Chris Rumph.

“It's not always a recruiting pitch,” Crouch said of the Vol coaches. “It's just building relationships. I'm as close to coach (Brian) Niedermeyer and coach (Chris) Rumph as anyone recruiting me.”

Someone followed up and asked Price what his gut told him:

That TN impressed him but I’d say they still have work to do
