UGA would have won championships without Bowers. Not saying a really good TE isn’t always good to have. But without good OL and QB, a great TE is worthless.I mean look at brock bowers, its rare but some TEs can be as valuable.
I know from experience that Western North Carolina is Vol country. And now we’re taking Charlotte and Greensboro/Durham too.Yep. We let Georgia and Clemson move in there and we lost what was essentially a huge part of "instate" recruiting turf. Now we're getting it back. NC has given us so many Vol greats: Little, Pickens, Graham, Streater, Bryson, Gaither, and so on. Jaylen Wright is the latest in that line.
I'd say harrison or a stud OL, heupel would find his qb first off and we got gmac for 2025 so it wouldn't hurt as much. A stud OL is very valuable especially out of high school if you can develop them and harrison is freak athlete who has a very high ceilingUGA would have won championships without Bowers. Think of it this way. It’s purely hypothetical because we are getting Brandon. But say you had to choose between Brandon, Harrison and a stud OL. You can only have one. Who you choosing?
I remember last year around draft time, Hubbs talking about how Hendon Hooker could diagram a play and tell him where the ball needed to go based on the coverage at the drop of a hat. It seems like that more than anything else was the reason he was so successful in this offense.I mean Hendon is likely one blown knee away from being our first serious heisman finalist since Peyton.
Faizon might have a higher ceiling, but it doesn’t get too much better than how Hooker played in 2022 as a whole.
No doubt. Hendon has a good but not great arm, but if you’re one step ahead of the defense you rarely have to worry too much about rifling a pass in there.I remember last year around draft time, Hubbs talking about how Hendon Hooker could diagram a play and tell him where the ball needed to go based on the coverage at the drop of a hat. I don’t remember stories like that about Joe Milton.
My point is if you can learn this offense to that level you can be successful and put up those type numbers.
Probably true, but they went to Bowers when they needed a big play. He seldom disappointed them by running over tacklers and out running others.UGA would have won championships without Bowers. Wonder if Barnes offers him?Kendra was at Oregon yesterday and picked up an offer to play basketball. Out of his top 6 teams, 3 have offered basketball scholarships, including North Carolina and Florida State. Highly ranked in both sports. View attachment 662494
Offering a basketball scholarship is pointless, other than it being for “show”. He’ll be on football scholarship no matter where he ends up and play both sports wherever he ends up. Right now I think it’s UNC and UT. Anyone know if he and Fazion are close at all?Kendra was at Oregon yesterday and picked up a offer to play basketball. #6 overall in football. #31 overall in basketball. It would be amazing seeing him be a Vol on the football field, but if he's that good at basketball it's probably smarter to be a BasketVol. The money is better and your probability at the pros is a more clear path.
I get that he's ranked hire in football but if you look at injury risk, salaries in each league, and length that players play for the NBA is the smartest route. I love football and I rarely watch the NBA, but it's clearly the better league to be a player in#6 overall in football. #31 overall in basketball.
He kind of reminds me of me back in high school, but just not maybe quite as high of a ceiling.
Also far fewer roster spots. If you’re the 60th best player in college football, you’re guaranteed a spot in the NFL. If you’re the 60th best player in college basketball, you’re hoping to catch on in Europe.I get that he's ranked hire in football but if you look at injury risk, salaries in each league, and length that players play for the NBA is the smartest route.
