'26 NC TE Kendre Harrison (Oregon commit)

I get that he's ranked hire in football but if you look at injury risk, salaries in each league, and length that players play for the NBA is the smartest route. I love football and I rarely watch the NBA, but it's clearly the better league to be a player in
Oh yeah I wasn’t saying that to say he should pick football. Just that he’s a ridiculous athlete. 5 star in both sports is insane.

Yep. We let Georgia and Clemson move in there and we lost what was essentially a huge part of "instate" recruiting turf. Now we're getting it back. NC has given us so many Vol greats: Little, Pickens, Graham, Streater, Bryson, Gaither, and so on. Jaylen Wright is the latest in that line.
Heath Shuler and Haskel Stanback also are from NC.

Shuler was the first big time recruit I remember Tennessee getting in real time. Pickens and Webb were big, but I dont recall following their recruitments.
Can you imagine Jaylen Wright of 2023 on the 2022 squad?

North Carolina is like a secret garden on your 5 acre land that has fruit and veggies growing year round and you just save a bunch of money on groceries. That’s what that state is to UT

Pearce and Little are both from NC and are the most freakish athletes ever at DE/EDGE.

Now hopefully Sanders is next, and maybe a future Heisman at QB is Faizon Brandon.
That state is our secret garden.

And I guess GA/TN is the grocery store…

I think you’re confused about the definition of “secret garden”.

I’ve always said that Charlotte to the border should be treated as instate by UT. Lots of talent, lots of UT fans/alums in that area, and those kids have no problem turning down the Carolina schools to go to other places, because they’re all basketball schools. And Charlotte to Knoxville is basically the same as Nashville to Knoxville.

When Tennessee is good, we’re pulling a lot of talent from North Carolina.

I know from experience that Western North Carolina is Vol country. And now we’re taking Charlotte and Greensboro/Durham too.

Eastern NC has sneaky good athletes as well.

Very underrated state in regards to talent.
So who needs Sasquatch when we have Volsquatch! Our footprint is huge and only getting bigger. Eastern Virginia has been good to us as well!

Richmond County started it, and then Independence took it to another level in the 2000’s

Hopefully Providence adds even more talent.

I want to see a Mater Dei like program in North Carolina.
Let’s hope the Vols pull Sanders this year, then Harrison and Delaney next year. Providence Day can be our AAA affiliate.
