'26 NC TE Kendre Harrison (Oregon commit)

Yes. The #3 player in NC in the 2026 class, after Brandon and Harrison, according to the On3 composite.
Ah haven’t heard his name until now. But with the top player in the class nearby and committed who knows. It’s going to be a lot more like GMac than Nico results wise bc it’s guys in our recruiting landscape imo

Does landing Sneed affect this kids recruitment considering he’s projected to play TE at the next level or are we taking two TE’s in the 26 class?

We'll take 2 if we can get 2 that good. In fact, I'm guessing this staff would love to get 2 top tier TEs every class if they can.

Maybe just a little, but as others have pointed out it, it probably doesn't change anything for UT at least.

also, even though they are both TEs Sneed is more of a blocking/traditional TE, while Harrison is probably going to be more of that flex/all purpose TE in our offense.

That last part is the larger point. They're basically 2 different positions.

Not sure if mentioned but he wants to play basketball as well. This will be the major issue for him going forward. Heard he was a special talent on the court.

Providence Day School tight end Kendre Harrison will have one of the most interesting recruitments in the 2026 recruiting cycle. The No. 9 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings doubles as a major Power-4 basketball prospect, with dual-sport offers at multiple programs. He measures 6-foot-6 and 250 pounds as a rising high school junior.

6’5 255 TE.

He was 6’8

By the time he gets to Knoxville he’ll be 6’3…

The 2026 class got off to a quick start in North Carolina last weekend with the commitment of Faizon Brandon and there are several key targets there in that cycle. Kendre Harrison just transferred to Providence Day so he will be around David Sanders and fellow 2026 offensive lineman Leo Delaney. At Myers Park, wide receiver Brody Keefe and edge Rodney Dunham will be a points of focus. Then up at Hough, Samari Matthews is someone that Tennessee has been on for a while along with West Charlotte edge Elijah Littlejohn.

It's awesome seeing Tennesse cherry picking the top talent out of the Carolinas again. Clemson was the beneficiary of our down years and got a lot of those players. And the top Tennessee players too.

They can still recruit top talent, but it got a whole lot harder for them to do so. I sincerely think that with UT 's resurgence and Dabo's reluctance to embrace the portal and NIL, it's only a matter of time before they slip further into mediocrity.

And I'm glad I'm here to see it. They are about the only non conference team that I despise, other than Ohio State. I can't stand them or their fans either.
