In particular, thanks for no-one blaming or ranting about Catholicism.

Before I retired and went back to school, I was a minor published expert on sexual offending who worked with a big-wig on the subject. Catholicism isn't the problem, the problem is that sex offenders are opportunistic. If you've got a trusted position (priest; boy scout leader, etc) then it's easier to get away with harming others.

What's wrong with Notre Dame, though, is more profoundly wrong than the cover-ups by the Catholic Church in years past.

The Catholic Church was afraid that revealing sexual crimes would damage people's faith in the particular version of God they believed in.

Notre Dame, pretty clearly, has covered-up crimes and attacked victims not to protect their faith, but to protect their money.

I'm an old Vols fan. I've got underwear that hates Bama older than most people on this board. But I'd be ashamed to claim any Vol who hated a football rival more than another team that has demonstrated that it thinks championships and the money that comes with them are more important than rape.

Particularly a team that does so under the arms of Touchdown Jesus.

I'm pretty sure there was a lack of evidence that the DA found. I'm not saying nothing happened but RezLife at ND, which is notorious for being hardass, and the DA didn't find enough evidence to prosecute. I'm not saying nothing happened - we don't know.

The article is very one-sided. I would think a ND graduate would look at both sides, or at least acknowledge that official investigations ran aground, and no, the text from a buddy is not the same as an official cover-up. This isn't like Penn State. Unfortunately, this seems like a woman who wants a high five from her friends in DC from fighting corruption, when this sort of thing, while sad, goes on at most BCS schools, including the University of Alabama.

In short, she ignores all the good stories on the team except for her begrudging acknowledgement of Manti Te'o. If there's any evidence of administrative malfeasance, she should find it. This column proves nothing.

Honestly I don't care if Bama wins every other game they play. The better they are when we beat them, the more enjoyable it is.

Bama's record is not really important when we play them. Beating Bama always feels like the greatest of climaxes.

While yes I do hate bama. If there was one team I absolutely hate outside the sec, it is notredame. Thinking they arentoongood to be in a conferece and not playing a damn sole all year an gets to play in the national championship game???
I will be pulling for another sec national championship and hope notre dame gets stomped by 50 points.

The Vols are my team there is no questioning that. The SEC is our conference. As we recruit against every other school in the nation this is an easy choice. ROLL TIDE!!!
