NCAA FB Line discussion..(gambler thread)

Not being fishy........they send the lines on Monday. Most of the time they are pretty accurate but we go by the Monday lines for the weekend pick contest.

who's they? just curious. UT opened up at +14 across the board in Vegas, give or take 1/2

Wynn L.V. looks to have the more tempting line at UT +15.5 at the moment. Not sure of what the offshores are looking like

I would have to ask the organizer of our weekly contest where he gets the lines - I know he don't just make them up. But he could have transcribed a number or something. I thought the lines for LSU/TN and Miss St/South Carolina were both a bit whacked. I still took LSU though.

Those lines are not correct. Your guy is using some crazy site to get those. Go to bodog or sportsbook and look...it's easy to find the lines.

I realize those were off...........I used to be a degenerate and bet on everything sports - golf, racing, hockey, for the love of God I even bet on WNBA. I made a pretty good penny back in 05-07 when I played religiously but it was like a drug and it eventually consumed me so I backed off to nearly nothing. Now I just do this and don't play any of the books. With all of the problems getting funds into the US from these offshore accounts I wouldn't know what to do now anyhow. BetJamaica was always my favorite book and they had good parlay payouts. I understand they don't service the US anymore if I read it correctly though.

Sorry to put those picks in and jack up the thread - I should have just included the games with somewhat realistic odds. I am going to try and find out where he got those odds though....

Parlay

FSU -12
ISU +17
Oregon -14
OSU +3.5
AUB +2.5
UGA -12

Then took a straight on UGA -400 to beat Vandy. For the same as my parlay price...

At this point of the game I'm glad I didn't take USC.

I'm not seeing a lot of games next week that make me feel warm and fuzzy. We'll see when the lines are released.

So I did these on another forum:

Michigan +3 over Michigan State. I’m a huge fan of Hoke so far. He knows how important this game is and the players do as well, considering the senior class has never beaten MSU. Calling for an upset road victory for the Wolverines.
ECU -14 over Memphis. How does this line exist?
Northwestern +6.5 at Iowa. Huge opportunity for NW to save their season and, considering their recent success against Iowa and the fact Dan Persa is Dan Persa, I like them with another B1G upset.
Ohio State +3.5 at Illinois. This is stupid. This is really stupid. But for whatever reason, I still think Ron Zook’s due for a Zookdown and Ohio State has too much pride to lose games like this.
Bama -26 at Ole Miss. This just makes too much sense.
Oklahoma -36 at Kansas. Same as Bama.

And went 3-3. Pretty mediocre, but I can't believe I've nailed every Ohio State game this year except Michigan State.

Just some of my picks for this week

Oklahoma State (-7.5) @ Missouri
Southern Cal (+9) @ Notre Dame
Wisconsin (-8) @Michigan State

Only thing that has me a little shaky is all my picks are the away team.

A little bit late for me, but nonetheless:

Arkansas -16 at Ole Miss. Seems like the perfect trap game for Arky to win by 7-10, but I'd never pick Ole Miss to cover a spread, so...
Kansas State -10 at Kansas. Oklahoma sleptwalk through the first half last week, nothing to see here.
Southern Miss -3 vs. SMU. Perfect letdown game following a big win vs. UCF for June Jones and company.
Michigan State +8 vs. Wisconsin. I don't know, it sounds good and it's about time Wisconsin looks vulnerable.
Duke +3.5 vs. Wake Forest. Picked Duke before the season and I'll stick with it.

Okie State/Mizzou rurnt my morning. I had the over at 69.5.... smh

Half point losses are why most degenerate gamblers have receding hairlines and go bald on top

My hatred for Arkansas athletics grows.
