It seems like everyone’s got plenty of causes to keep them company. They obviously don’t need my fandom anymore. Always thought something like that would sadden me, but I’ve found it surprisingly easy to proceed with my life.

Same here. I've actually been surprised at how little i have been bothered by not having sports.

Hated it at first. Now I'm to the point that it no longer even registers. Life is full of other opportunities for which to use your free time.

Pro sports lost me several years ago. I thought just maybe, juuust maybe, college sports would just stay....sports. Looks like I was wrong. Sure bet people would just love to hear all of my political views every time they purchased something at my place of business 🙄

120+ NCAA D1 football teams + 100 players per home team on a given Saturday. Brilliant NCAA. How are you going to satisfy all the different requests? Or are you going to pander to one side? This is just dumb.

Following in the NBA's footsteps, the NCAA will allow student-athletes in all sports to wear social justice statements on their uniforms.

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel said the decision announced Thursday will give players an opportunity 'to express support and voice their opinions.'

The back of the uniform, where a player's name is traditionally located, may feature names or words 'intended to celebrate or memorialize people, events or other causes,' the panel said. The names/words can vary by team member.

Why do you care?

If they have a tattoo that says "Mom" who gives a flick?

The funny thing is this goes against principles held by most coaches. A Saban, a Pruitt, those types. Coaches want uniformity. But they risk getting hurt on the recruiting trail perhaps, if they are labeled as one of those coaches that disallows this.

Number 45 Trump hit by 2nd Amendment but gang tackled by Coca Cola and Sharp as Che causes a fumble scooped up by Black Lives Matter who quickly murders the ball.

"Shockingly" the refs didn see nuffin and after further review BLM retains possession of the new ball and awarded 6 points for reparations.

The ball was not murdered. It's state of being simply ceased.

Fine with me. I only view them as cogs in an entertainment machine used for my own enjoyment.

Like I said, not the end of the world but one less escape from politics. I like beer, I like wine, hell I even like moonshine....... I just don't like them all mixed together at once.

Be honest. Beyond the number, how much time do you *really* spend looking at the jersey?

and Gundy got roasted for wearing a OAN shirt fishing ?

Plus, cost him millions $, and almost made him get on his knees to keep his job. I'm not a big Gundy fan, but he was persecuted. The media tried to make it like justice was served because he has always been such a racist and bad role model.
If the players were such sensitive and considerate type people, why did they not try defend the issue costing him and his family financially? They could have demanded an apology and it would have happened. It could have been handled internally with the players meeting with him and discussing.

Sounds like you're making an argument in favor of the notion that it is asinine to put messaging on the jersey. What purpose could it possibly serve? How much awareness will it raise? Goose egg. It is all just more virtue signaling sack strokery.
