Fuente at USCe or w (Don't think he goes west coast) or at Miami would be a pretty big step up for him. Fuuente at Miami would be terrifying for the ACC, but him at USCe would be equally so in a year or two for the SEC east. The SEC would just become even more cannibalistic because that would give you, barring something drastic happening to Fuente's coaching acumen or the other three teams, UF/UGA/UT/USCe that could feasibly win the east year in and year out.

Other than the recruiting hot bed that South Florida is, Miami has far more negatives than positives...far more. They play at a stadium 45 minutes away from campus, their fan base is non-existent, and their other facilities are nothing to jump up and down about.

Their only other strength is their history and tradition, but today's high school seniors were 3 & 4 years old when they won their last NC. Probably means little to nothing in the minds of today's recruits, especially in the "what's in it for me today" culture we live in.

I would be shocked if Fuente gives the U much of a look. I'm betting we're all going to go "huh?" when they make their next hire.

USCe
USCw
Miami
Maryland
Central Florida
Illinois
North Texas
Minnesota

Am I missing any? I'm sure Memphis and Houston will be on here soon :)

Memphis is playing for a Big12 bid. If that happens, Fuente likely stays.

Heard on the radio this morning that 20% of the 125 or so FBS HC jobs might open up this year. Already have had 8 leave. 17 to go.

I wonder if West Virginia might be one of them? Holgerson in 4th year..3-4 and more importantly 0-4 in Big-12 this year

Really only need about another 6 or 7 to get fired or quit, then another 10 +/- will leave for better jobs. I hope that instead of bidding up HC salaries to even more ridiculous levels, more of the new agreements have severe penalties added for coaches leaving early.

I bet that WVU will be one of them. They should get into a different conference while they're at it.

WVA should have went to the SEC instead of Missouri

Dana Holgorsen will be fired at the end of the season and West Virginia will be looking for another head football coach. I think Justin Fuentes could be a candidate at West Virginia.

Living in Missouri, I'd like to trade Mizzou back to the Big 12 for WVU. Geographically, WVU is nightmare for the Big 12.

Yeah West Virginia should have entered the SEC instead of Missouri. I wish Clemson would have been invited to the SEC instead of South Carolina.

I think he will get fired too, he hasnt replaced that great offense from a few years ago ( Geno Smith, Tavon Austin, S. Bailey and Kevin White)

Deerpark or the late Tennstud explained it on TOS why Missouri and A&M received invites..they brought in new cable subscribers..apparently the KC market is in the top 30..it helps a lot when negotiating cable deals and increases revenue for the conference
