Apparently there was a controversial call at first base that allowed TN to get their first run. That's why the Upstate coach was so pissed off.

I do too...the other teams we can handle...Upstate will be a challenge to anybody they play. Honestly, their coach coaches the same way I did, unconventional and very aggressive. They also have a couple of pretty decent pitchers. Hard team to handle.

Good call! Although I don't really like it...our pitching has not been the problem today.

I agree. Arnold held her own, but I figured we wouldn't risk letting them get anything going. Matty Moss is becoming a really solid strikeout pitcher for us.

This game was full of controversial calls. I'm glad we won but this umpire crew was the worst ever and if I am a coach at Tennessee I'm still turning in the film of the play at the plate and the runner interference.

They didn't play a lot of top competition but when they did they played them close. Lost to Florida State 2 to 0. I think they lost a close game to UCLA also had a couple good wins.

Sad that any teams whole season rides on a bunch of worthless piece of umpiring. As much money as NCAA makes they should have technology in place to prevent that Crap!!

Well, given I'll be starting my 7th decade in two weeks, you can definitely call me old school. I believed in putting pressure on the other team in any way possible...force them to make great plays to beat you anywhere on the field. It's the way I learned to play way back when....

PS I coached high school for the best part of 20 years.
