Ballsy. I hope they hammer them

I can't stand the fact that they used a one and done slimeball to ride all the way to the NC. It was so bad I was hoping bammer would beat them last year.
I hope they have to forfeit the whole season, Cam is Reggie Bush X 10000.

Shurburtt obviously misunderstood Dooley. When Dooley made those comments we had already received the letter of allegations and were days away from going in front of the committee on infractions. Dooley was basically saying, "You've already caught us, now don't make us wait forever to find out our fate." Which is far different from saying the NCAA couldn't prove anything and needed to move on.

Now Chizik is just outright putting pressure on the NCAA to end an ongoing investigation, which just comes off as arrogant and stupid.

I have a hard time blaming a college kid for taking money.

It's the sorry bastards that offer it to them that are what's wrong, be it agents or boosters.

+1. If I was a poor college student, eating ramen noodles everyday, and someone offered me 200,000 dollars, I'm taking it. Can't blame him.

Funny, students on here complain about having to buy season tickets because they are poor college students, but they attack another "poor college kid" because he played football.

Don't disagree at all. However, I will add that most of the time the parents are involved with these situations, and if nothing is to deter the kid or the parents from continuing to do this....then nothing will change.

Do you really believe that any kid on a football scholarship in the SEC is on a diet of ramen noodles? Antonio Richardson must be eating a 100 packs a day then. I get your point, but that is way exaggerated.

Idk what they eat. I do know some struggle. I had a friend that played baseball on scholarship, and while baseball and football are very different, he struggled to make it at times.

I think fans like to think that scholarship football players live a glorious life. I'm not that naive to think so.

I would think it would be an unspoken rule that when you're under NCAA investigation, you should refrain from antagonizing an NCAA official.

i can absolutely blame these kids for taking money. they know its wrong and illegal. just because they are athletes who come from predominately poor families, doesnt give them a moral pass. they also know how much damge it can do to their university.

The NCAA is looking into several SEC schools in South Florida, including the barn. From what I'm hearing, the barn has more to worry about than some of the others.

Oh, understood. Geez, if Cam Newton isn't the worst of their problems, they must be swimming in s***.

All the scholarship athletes at UT get a food stipend, bro. It's part of the scholarship.

Also the best cafeteria on campus is right beside their facilities. They eat there for free.

I have eaten at a major college football training table. They eat better than my family does now.

They also get free gas to go places? Money to go out to eat? To go to the movies?

They aren't living a luxurious life style.
