This is probably an unpopular opinion (and certainly is as far as national analysts are concerned), but there's a reason why Kansas has won that conference something like 12 or 13 years in a row. While Kansas has unquestionably been one of the best teams in the nation during that stretch, they aren't that damn good. That streak suggest to me that, while the Big 12 may be fairly solid from top to bottom, it lacks other teams that are truly good. That's not to say one of them, besides Kansas, can't make a deep run this year though.
