I get that point too. But I cant see a Big ten team going over a Texas or OU. Basing it of strength of schedule.
And the Big Ten gets way more pull than they ought to. Look at how many in sports media are Big Ten (esp. N'Western) alums.it's not strength of schedule. It's a horsecrap beauty contest driven by media clowns and swayed by coaches, staffs, admins and otherwise. This gives them a much better shot at getting into the conversation. I like Pelini, but he isn't going to be recruiting evenly with TX or OU any time soon.

I'm only surmising, but if that hymen gets broken, I think it's inevitable.
Only out of pure evilness, I would have to chuckle if the Big 10 took Nebraska then told Mizzou no thanks, we're not interested anymore.
(Not that I think that will happen.)
Sorry, I've only had time to skim this thread and saw this, but is there a chance Texas goes west and A&M goes to the SEC?
It's not official but it looks all but official that Nebraska is heading to the Big 10. It will be interesting to see what happens next. I think at least one more team would have to move for things to really heat up but this looks like the first domino.
If I asked a random Longhorn fan whether they'd rather beat OU and lose to aTm or lose to OU and beat aTm, I bet 90% pick the former
aTm : Texas : OU
UCLA : USC : ND
Mich St : Mich : tOSU
NC St : UNC : Duke
sorry, but it's true
