**** Nebraska Vs Colorado Thread ****

Coach Prime knows what he’s doing.

I think he was a heck of a hire for Colorado... people saying they won't do good has nothing to do with Sanders. Put Saban or Smart at Colorado and they would struggle to win 6 games as well.

The low state of the program and the brutal schedule are the issues people are pointing out.

Brutal schedule? Lol

Yeah, they don't play Austin Peays, Virginia, or those type of teams.

They got ranked Oregon, Utah, USC, Oregon State, and UCLA teams. (3 of those on the road). They play at Washington State.

Their OOC schedule is TCU, Nebraska, and in-state foe Colorado State.

To give Tennessee the equivalent of Colorado's schedule, we would have to have only 3 OOC games with 2 of them against Power 5 teams and the third against Memphis (or 2001 OOC schedule would be comparable as we had Syracuse, Notre Dame, and Memphis).

We would also need to have to trade some of our SEC opponents to get better competition as South Carolina, Vandy, and Florida would likely not beat any of the Pac12 teams on Colorado's schedule with the exception of maybe the two Arizonas.

Not really for a couple of reasons.

1. We won more than 4 games
2. We played a far tougher schedule

Nebraska is a little more embarrassing because besides their cross-over games and sometimes Iowa and Wisconsin, their schedule is, for the most part, full of UK and Vandys.
You're kind of picking nits. We started struggling badly beginning in 2008 and have had multiple 5-win seasons since then and a 4-win season. Nebraska consistently had 9-10 win seasons until 2014, but since then have had multiple 3-4 win seasons.

Gotta think Rhule makes a QB change at half. I kind of understand not throwing your cold backup in mid-game with their crowd juiced, but you can't let Sims come back for the second half.

Agree, Nebraska took a little longer to get bad but since 2014, I would say we were better. Keep in mind our 2015 and 2016 teams were not that far off from 11 or so wins.

Nebraska also didn't have to play Alabama, Florida, or Georgia. Those are annual opponents that don't compare to any annual opponent for Nebraska (Wisconsin might be a contender with Florida). Nebraska does get Michigan, Ohio State, or Penn State at times and those are tough games but most of their schedule is meh.

Yup I think he changes QBs at half.. the people calling for a backup QB to come in with 2 mins left and the crowd that hype were unrealistic

UF and UGA also were not exactly great teams for a lot of our down period. Especially UF. We also had trouble consistently beating Vandy during said down period, which is really embarrassing.

It's still 6 of one, half dozen of the other. The parallels between our football programs are pretty common, although I think their path back to the top is way more uncertain than ours for multiple reasons. I do think Rhule is a good coach though.
