Auburn just wanted to remind everyone that the spread offense doesn't work in the SEC, and that we need a pro style quarterback so we can run the I formation.

O and Nick Saban loves going against spread teams! He eats them for dinner!

And yes, I did start drinking before noon. Go vols!

People who think this "gimmick" offense can't work aren't paying attention.

It works if it done right. But Bama blew that game. AU should have not been close enough to make that field goal necessary. Bet Saban is thoroughly distraught. R D T!!!!!

I really don't care how Saban feels. I don't care what offense Barn runs. I want to see the UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE return to a culture of winning ... period.

Auburn runs a triple option O. Their QB threw for 97 yrds and ran for 99. Please tell me what pro style QB does this?

Mizzou's pro style offense works awesome too. They do it with roster full of 2* and 3* players

Auburn ran for just under 300 yards. The advantage of having the qb involved in the running game is undeniable.

I don't care for the spread but it can definately be effective. Time to get to work for this offense next year.

Signed,

Vince Young
Tim Tebow
Cam Newton

This speaks to the fact it requires an elite college QB to win big with this system.

FTR the playcalling needs creativity and we need to develop our QBs.

You need a fearless QB and a RB that hits the hole hard. We have neither. I would take Auburns style or Stanford's. Whatever wins ball games. GBO!!!

That's funny because it seems like Baylor, Texas A&M, Missiouri, USCjr, Auburn, and a billion other teams are producing "elite" qb's year in and year out.

Have you ever thought that maybe it's not the qb? Maybe it's the system?

Mizzou's QB isn't even elite. Auburn's QB isn't quite elite either but beat AJ McCarron yesterday.

Incorrect..If AU catches those 2 passes where the WR was open for touchdowns AU wins. AU ran all over Ala on the ground.

Fact is since 2010 we have signed more 2 stars than Mizzou, so to be honest they do not have a lot of 2 star players on that team as some posters want everyone to believe.

I can't believe that we still have fans that have not learned from these last few years..U can't keep changing coaches and your system every other year and win...One main reason that Dooley's teams were as bad as they were, was because each year our guys had different position coaches..For too long i was under the impression that our fan base was not like UK basketball fans, which is delusional, but boy, was i wrong

We have already given Butch the job, so let's let him do the job he was hired for, and wait and see what happens..
