Needing prayers.

Please pray for my wife and her family. Her dad has been very ill for about a month with several health problems. The family decided this morning to remove him from life support tomorrow morning. She also lost her mom to cancer just a few years ago (only in her 50s), so any prayers you can spare would help greatly.
So sorry to hear, Souce. 🙏🙏🙏 up for all your family!

I’m not very good at this and after reading some of what I’ve missed in this thread lately, I hesitate to even post. First off, prayers for all of y’all and sorry for the many requests I’ve missed lately.

The Army is doing Army type things (for those of you that have been around, you’ll understand), and despite being only a few months into this new temporary gig as a recruiter, my boss is PCS-ing (essentially transferring) to Louisiana, and the other recruiter that’s here has finished his time as a recruiter and is on his way back to the regular Army. As for replacements? The first one shows up in January. Brilliant. I barely know how to just be a recruiter, much less run the whole thing. My stress and anxiety is sky high. I know it’s not life threatening, but please say a prayer for me if y’all will. Thanks in advance. Like just pray that I can be 1/10th as resilient as Hunter or Tiff ya know?

I know a thing or two about walking into or being in a stressful position, whether at work or in life. I’ve learned to slow my brain (not my thought process) and trust myself. It’s worked for me every single time.

You got it.

How long before you can transfer into a job you like?

Not being a smartass here... we always referred to that as "Induction by Fire" or "Character Building". One of my bosses used to say "A chance to excel".
I've still got my 25 years of singe marks:).

You'll be alright, brocephus! You seem to have a good head aboutcha. Communication is key within your recruiter network. Gonna make a couple hellatious Evaluation Report bullets.

We'll pray for you buddy. It doesn't matter if it's not life threatening, if it's important to you, then it's important to us.

Yea I’ve been thrown into the fire quite a bit, but this is the least amount of knowledge I’ve ever carried into a trip into the flames. And that scares me. I’ll see the other side, just likely have a few more gray hairs then

Gray is good. Falling out - not so much. :D

You’ve got this. I didn’t post much about it at the time, but when I was sent to Kingsport for the consultation, I didn’t realize until I got there how bad it was. They had no Dietary Manager, down to two cooks. I come in and watched the evening shift cook. Behr will probably agree with me on this part, I asked the cook about how they function and how she goes through her shift and what she had to work with. She quit that night because of me (as she should have after what I observed). That left one and me. The one that quit tried to get the lone one to do also. I promised I wouldn’t leave her if she put a little trust in me, a stranger. She didn’t. I ended up turning a a two night trip into a two week thing. The thing is when things get overwhelming and you ask yourself how can I do this? If it’s the right thing, you will.

You got it boss. Strength and healing to all your family!

You seem like a smart guy. I bet you'll get through the transition with not much problem. Will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as well.

On another note... We are going to have to start praying in shifts folks.

The praying emoji is back to being the first in the frequently-used section (on my phone) and has been for some time. 😞
