Update from my friend

Haley's checkup went very well today. The PA was pleased with her progress and that side effects have thus far been bearable with two weeks of immunotherapy on board. Blood was drawn for lab work to check liver, kidney, and blood damage due to the immunotherapy. Haley's breathing and energy level have improved. We are grateful to the many people faithfully praying and communicating with us; without prayer I don't know how we could deal with the challenges and needs that have been in our path. God continues to faithfully provide. Please continue praying as there are ongoing challenges. With grateful hearts thank you all.

I would like to ask VN to keep a special friend of mine and his wife in your prayers. Billy Barnes has been a friend of mine since the late 80's. He was my bosses boss when my kids were born and I worked for him for about 5 years. After I left this position in 94, we remained excellent friends. I spent many nights with he and his family on the back of his boat in the Bahamas. I became Gayle's 3rd son more or less. Billy is in a bad way now and I am afraid for them that he is on his way out. He has two grown and very successful sons, 3 or 4 grandkids and a wonderful wife. I would ask for prayers of strength for the family while he is fighting. He has Parkinson's and is beginning to suffer mini-strokes. He is still alert and knew who I was but I am afraid that if he follows my mom's tracks, he won't for long. This is going to be tough on his family and his wife who has Parkinson's herself. When you can, please lift them up and ask for strength for what lies ahead.

Will do - Parkinsons is another dreaded disease - I used to help any area families when they needed an interpreter with the speech of the relative with the disease -- btw did a shark or gator get his calf ?

We were stupid. Two divers, two directions, too many fish shot in one spot, too late in the day, too lax.

Well I haven't spoken to him recently, but I have seen from their FB posts they are back at their buisiness. Still I am sure they are devastated. Guessing Anthony will throw himself into his work to help. I'm sure they could use the buisiness if anyone would like to grab the best burger joint food on earth. I wish I had Billgates money and they'd have taken a year off for father/son grief time. I can't say enough what good people they are. Armando's Chester Frost Is fantastic.

Hmm Hard to set a date atm. This is my busiest time of the year, son will be out of school, we have scouts, climbing, batting practice, golf, guitar...... I will have to speak to his Assistant (my wife) to find out what I (his chauffeur) will be doing and when, and see if I have any freetime. It's probably easier for you guys to set a date, and I'll see if i can make it, and if i can't set another date and I'll see if I can make that and in the meantime you will enjoy excellent food.
