prayingHaley meets with her oncologist Tom, during which time we hope to learn if her cancer is due to a genetic mutation and can be treated through a targeted immunotherapy vs. chemo, radiation and surgery. Please pray for Haley and her oncologist Dr. Mathew. We will send an update Monday evening. Thank you for your faithful prayers.
She might need to borrow a couple of his servants too....@NorCalVol67, she wants an ocean pic....
Friends of ours, and buisiness owner Slice may know (Armando's Chesterfrost) Lost his wife this weekend. This was a long brutal illness, and heartbreaking. I can't explain just how bad it hurt everyone that knew them, he's a standup guy well loved in the Hixson community, and she was a wonderful woman, and the love of his life. He's heartbroken, and they have a 12 yr old son who is devastated. Not really one for giving names without permission, but if you'd like to say a prayer for them, they could use it. Everyone thought after a transplant she had turned a corner for the better, so this was a shock. His boy and mine could be cousins if not brothers they remind me of each other so much. Really his family was a mirror of my own, so it really hit home for me when I heard. Knowing all they went through.. and this to happen this way is just heartbreaking.... this world/life can be cruel. Reminded me of a song though, that I have found helpful in the past when dealing with loss. Their family is in such pain. I just can't even imagine.

So a friend of theirs has started a go fund me for them, and I guess that puts their name in the public. He is a sole proprietor of Armando's Chesterfrost. (The absolute greatest burgers in the world and ever created by mankind, and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.) He's gonna need time, and being the sole buisiness owner and having a few employees this is extra tough.

If I had a dollar for every Main St Armando's burger I've had, I'd be rich. Donated. And I'll make it a point to get to Hixson as well.So a friend of theirs has started a go fund me for them, and I guess that puts their name in the public. Maybe we could all meet up one day and have a burger in Hixson.

A ray of light!! Continuing to pray, and if it’s ok, I’ll add her to the church prayer list.We learned today that Haley does possess a mutation that caused her cancer to develop. She will be taking an immunotherapy medication that specifically targets her cancer. Please pray that her body will be able to tolerate the side effects which can be severe. She will have to monitored closely for potential adverse effects. She will be seen every 2 weeks by the oncologist and will be rescanned in 6 weeks to make sure she is responding to treatment .Praise God, this is the best diagnosis we could have hoped for and we now have a plan. God has answered many prays. Haley is scheduled to begin her medication tomorrow. Please pray she responds well to treatment and that her side effects are tolerable. Thank you for praying and please continue praying as Haley battles to regain her health.
