did they do a CBC ? - cancer would have showed up in that and you would have been called to go back asap

Where did the question of pancreatic cancer arise? Did your doctor mention it? Obviously, no one wants that to happen. But you can definitely damage your pancreas by poor diet. Your triglycerides are 300. I just looked at my labs; mine are 67. This isn't some weird bragging. This is just what the tri's of someone who by no means eats a perfect diet or runs 5 miles a day. Yours are crazy high.

Whatever you're eating, it's a crap diet, whether with a capital D (some fad diet) or small D (whatever you're just in the habit of eating), and it is seriously damaging your body. If you're trying to lose weight or anything on some wacko fad diet, skip it. It's trying to kill you (probably not from pancreatic cancer, unless your doctor told you that she/he is worried about this.) Just do a reasonable version of this: Mediterranean diet for heart health and get out and walk around your neighborhood. If you drink alcohol, dial it back. Call your doctor back, tell him/her that you don't understand what they told you, and ask what exactly do they want you to do.

My preventative cardiologist has said that some have a predisposition towards higher triglycerides. These folks simply have to make a more mindful effort to mitigate this. There are drugs (e.g. fenofibrate), but these won’t help if the afflicted isn’t changing their consumption habits. Modify the diet, first. Pick up the exercise. Have real conversations with your doctor(s). We’re not in our twenties anymore.

Pardon my cynicism, but prayer isn’t going to help an AI bot overcome human health issues. Froot Loops may yet receive my sympathy if/when he convinces me of his/her humanity.

I figure it he’s a bot, someone is running it, so maybe that person is having health issues. I dunno.

Oh yeah, Aly's tests came back the other day. The only cancer found was in the spot itself, nothing in the lymph nodes, which means I guess the original dr was wrong, nothing spread. They got all of it, and say everything should be okay.

My cardiologist says the same and that triglycerides can be very volatile in the short-term. If the rest of my lipids are good, my docs don't pay much attention to the triglycerides alone.

Based on my experience, that's a major conclusion based only on triglycerides. My wife had major pancreas issues. Nothing like that was ever suggested without at least a CBC to indicate an infection somewhere.

Please say a prayer for a friend of mine, John. His wife passed away a couple days ago at the young age of 48. She had been receiving treatments for cancer the past 5 years and was doing really well until 2 weeks ago. She got really sick and they went to Vanderbilt and found a different cancer in her jawbone and a skin cancer spot on her back that they thought was caused by previous chemo treatments. She had one radiation treatment on her jaw and the next week passed away. They have 2 boys and it has hit them and John very hard. They've been together the past 32 years, since high school to marriage and now. She was a wonderful person and loved everyone. The boys were always her pride and joy. John told me that knowing he will be with her again one day is the only thing keeping him going. They just built their dream home 6 months ago. It breaks my heart as he told me he was carrying her everywhere around the house the past couple weeks because she was so weak she couldn't get around on her own. Thank you in advance🙏🏻
