Needing prayers.

yeah, I worked Friday and today while my daughter stayed here at home
tonight we had scholastic bowl match, so I was later getting home
things are stable
still doing IVs
tomorrow is her birthday, and we have a follow-up with her regular doctor and then have the dressing on her picc line changed and a WBC at the "transition" center at the old hospital
den we will probably go to Texas Roadhouse or wherever she feels like eating on her birthday

Yeah, Tiffany has fought it before, it can be rough. Thank you.
I tried to be proactive with it because of my wife's time in the hospital the past couple of weeks and this home IV.
She had cdiff in 2013, and hers was very bad.
Walgreen's had the BOGO on probiotics, and I picked some up on my way to the hospital the day she was released. She's been taking those since we got home.

It's terrible how many doctors who put people on long-term IV antibiotics don't prescribe prophylactic probiotics, yogurt, etc. at the same time. It's not like no one knows what causes C. diff enteritis. Ugh.

Tiffany's Dr has thankfully stayed on top of that.

Good to hear! Wish her a Happy Birthday from us.

The good news is that we found out at the primary care doctor that all the spinal fluids tests came back negative for viral and bacterial infection.

She will still be on the antibiotics until the inflammation in her brain goes down. They will do another MRI in February.

We haven't heard any results from her blood work yet. We probably won't hear anything unless there's a problem, but I will be nosey here later and look in the patient portal to see the results anyway.

When we got home, a nice surprise at the front door put a smile on her face. She has a secret admirer (here on VolNation) who sent her an amaryllis, and we appreciate it so much. You know who you are. Thank you so much.

She didn't feel like going out to eat (tired and a little nausea), but she wanted me to go to Arby's for a sammich and some curly fries and bring it home.

Bless her heart....

Yesterday and today were the best days for my wife since she left the hospital.
Her white count was a little more elevated than I thought it should be on Tuesday, but the doctors didn't call or put anything in her portal. They know best.
We got the second shipment of antibiotics and IV supplies about 10:30. Tonight it came out of Knoxville, and we were the last stop on the list.
The frozen ice packs they pack with the antibiotics (like Blue Ice) is dam good. I'm puttin those in the gallon ziplock bags and using/freezing them and tossing all the old Blue Ice stuff we had stuck here and there in freezers.
Those packs last about two days in the cooler I take to work.

I've got a deep freezer full, have given a ton away, and thrown a bunch away. Occasionally we'll get her stuff in a Styrofoam cooler, sometimes big ones. I've kept a few of them for bait, and given some away to friends.

I use this quite a bit,and it's proved helpful away from posting on Facebook for prayer 🙏 Tonight,I really could use your prayers, Volnation. I won't go into details as it's very personal. I'll just say that it's something about my future that I don't need to worry about whatsoever, especially around Christmas. It's nothing health related...I know that God can work wonders and see things through, and it be a small bump in the road. Thank you!

Praying for you, for whatever it is.

I don’t think G-d cares who wins between NC and Ky but I’ll pray for your team anyway.

But seriously though, I hope everything turns out for the best.
