Needing prayers.

Sorry for everyone going through so much. Orb, squirrelly, tnuhc, vette, joe and anyone else. I needed this break and trip home. I was physically and mentally exhausted. Sorry I’ve ignored this thread and the board in general the past two weeks or so. I’ve selfishly been golfing, hiking and riding my bike taking a break from almost everything. Still praying for all y’all though.

didnt post any prayer requests about it but, privately had some answered today - even though the trash governor of this state, shutdown the casinos and alot of other business - the one I work for made a kind gesture by paying our full salary until Dec 31 ( unless it reopens before then ) so no dealing with the unemployment idiots again

My doctor told me the flu shot covers every strain that they think is going around for the year.

Just found out my lifelong (4th grade) best friend’s Papaw passed away in his sleep last night. For those that remember, it’s the friend I started my vacation trip with by going to see in Charlotte. His whole family is family to me. I’ve never called his Nana and Papaw anything but Nana and Papaw. His mom and dad are affectionately referred to as my spare parents.
Papaw was definitely up there in years, and has been struggling with several health issues, and they knew their time was short, but I don’t think they were fully ready yet. Please pray for the family as the mourn. He’s no longer in pain and that’s a great thing, but definitely tough to swallow and accept right now too. Glad I’m still in town so I can stop by and see them.

Thank you everyone. I just went to see them and they are in good spirits. I’m afraid as it sets in it will start to change, but as I said before, they knew it was coming and from they told me, he had definitely taken a turn over the last week and they knew it was apparent. I know lots are going through things, but remember then if you can.

Hard as you try to prepare yourself, and even if you know your loved one is better off in heaven than here with you, it's so hard to see them go. The love of friends and family holding you up, when you can't do it yourself, is such a blessing.

Glad you are there for them. I know you're hurting too, and hurting for them. I hate this for all of you, and you're in our prayers.
