Needing prayers.

Last year a couple of days after Christmas my brother- in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He passed away in September. Now less than a year later, both of my sisters called me together to tell me my other brother-in-law has been diagnosed with it as well. The oncologist told him he has an estimated 6 weeks
Sorry to hear that man. Pancreatic cancer took my mom.

Prayers for you and your family.

Thanks B..... I can’t wrap my head around the odds of this happening in the same year to both of my sisters and brother-in-laws.
On top of that, my mom died in ‘16 dad and brother in ‘17.

I know, I've seen your posts about it. I got nothing brother, wish I did. I believe in prayer and you'll get that.

This brother in law that's just been diagnosed, how old is he if you don't mind me asking?

He’s 60. Relatively speaking he still feels good. He’s going to the Titans game today.

It is one of the most untreatable cancers if its not detected very very early -- hopefully someday a cure will be found - right now it just sucks
Yep. Someone at work said they talked to my friend's daughter, and they're not even gonna try anything. Idk if that's a fact, but that's what was told.

Hi all. I would appreciate prayers for my 92-year-old mother who was admitted to hospital early this morning for cellulitis (subcutaneous infection) in her leg. She’s in much better shape already after starting IV antibiotics, but it’s still a lot to handle at her age.

Continuing to pray for those who are mentioned here.

CP, so sorry for you losses. Pancreatic Cancer is bad boss. Be with him and make him comfortable. Thoughts and prayers for yet another member of our VN family and their families.

Thanks bro..... we’re hanging out with him tomorrow to watch football. Who knows how much longer he’ll be here and feeling well.

heck I dont even want a test to check for it - Dr has been nagging about that colon test for 6 years now and my answer is still no
I am with you but you may want to if anything is there they can get it early you will be fine. I am not looking forward to the prostate exam.

After what I have seen I don't think I will take chemo if I get Cancer. Praying for you guys.
I know what you mean, but I think some cancers and the chemotherapy associated with them can be more agonizing than others.
with stage 4 pancreatic cancer I’d do it if I had a wedding or grand baby on the way. Otherwise I’d take the family on a kick ass vacation while I still felt up to it. ..... then cruise on out

You cats need to get onboard with your preventive screenings. A colonoscopy is nothing more than taking an industrial strength laxative and then getting stoned and a prostate exam last all of 3-4 seconds.
I didn't even know it would have been 100% covered on my insurance -- idk maybe I will this year - cancer really doesn't run in my family except my dad had kidney cancer but he had the kidney removed and it wasn't an issue - He died from a heart attack almost 25 years later

My insurance covers a colonoscopy 100% unless they find something. That's weird to me, but idk much about insurance.
