Nerlin Noel's & ShabaZz Muhammad thread...

2013 will be an epic class

Many UK fans said the same thing about this class last year as well. You just don't know with some of these recruits. Cal recruits those top talent kids, and at some point, almost happened this year, he's gonna miss on a few and sign an average class. Still not a bad class, but for cal standards top 5 classes are expected. With that said, Kentucky is listed as schools of interest for 9 of the top 10 recruits in 2013, should be another good class.

I don't know tennessees history of class rankings, recent memory our highest class was 10 iirc. 2013 could be an epic class for Tennessee as well, possibly top 10.

That's an interesting twist, pretty random as well.

I'm surprised Cal isn't targeting some back court guys, your alls backcourt depth is bad, hood, Wiltjer and beckham?

Yeah, I think they're going to shift AP to the 3 and just go with a massive lineup (if they get Bennett) I'm not sure when Wiltjer will see the floor...he's a defensive liability but such a pure shooter - and they need offense next year.

Wrong about Wjiter. If you watched him any last year he was a great shooter. True, he had terrible defense.

35/81 for .432% was his 3pt stats.

And yes, it would seem UK has really loaded up with interior players. Noel, Cauly are locks and there are 2 recruits we might get that are 3-4 players (mostly 4).

Where was he wrong? He called him a pure shooter...

He's pretty good too. Prob not as good as teague though

Reports of him from this last year in practice were that he was just as good, perhaps a little better. Having a year in the DD offense will make him that much stronger.

I heard he wasn't half as good as Teague. And Teague has been Cal's weakest PG in some time.

I see AP playing the 3 no matter what. Maybe minimal spots at the 4, but I don't think he's sec big enough to play against the bigger 4's jmo.

You expect UK fans to accept Bruno's "I head that...."? (SIC)

Harrow has a year in the system. He'll be fine.

No.

It's not just you, I've heard UK fans saying harrow is head and shoulders better than Teague and is actually better than knight. If he turnabout to be more power to them, but don't hold your breath.

Much like the UK fans saying Noels will be as good as Davis. I'm sorry but that is absurd.

Confused by this...

This part, I agree with. AD is a once-in-a-generation player.

That said, Noel is a BAMF, can't wait to see him play tonight on the Jordan Classic.

UK fans need to get off the Big Blue Kool-Aid on that one.

Bingo, I'm glad you get it. Noels is good and will probably have attest year, but to expect him to equal Davis is setting yourself up do disappointment.

I'm excited for that game tonight.

out*? :p

Anyway, i expect Harrow to come in and be better than Teague was in the start. Teague definitely improved as the season progressed. Statistically, Harrow should have a better year. Teague also had a lot of capable ball handlers to pass to. Jones/Davis brought it up the floor sometimes. I don't see Harrow having that option. Harrow really needs to be consistent from the first game. He's had a year to learn DD offense (which no UK pg has had in the last 3 years btw). Cal has a good pg this year. As good (or better) than Teague was.
