Netflix password sharing

I’m legitimately laughing that people care about Netflix password sharing. One would think there are more important things in life to be concerned with, but I guess some people don’t have a lot going on.
The hilarious part is listening to the people that are admitting that they are stealing the service (by illegally sharing passwords) then complain about the fact that these services keep raising their monthly subscription fees. No kidding! They're raising them because people are stealing their service.

It is stealing. These streaming services are jacking up the monthly subscription rates because people like you are stealing the service for free. The rest of us are subsidizing your theft.
How does one steal from a parent who approves of them using the service? Service is being paid for. I know if others are using the service because I receive notifications of each log-in. If friends of my girls get the password, then someone can’t log-in. So my girls know not to do that. I occasionally reset the password and log everybody out as a precaution, but it hasn’t been necessary.

I’m not complaining because I’m not paying for it. I really don’t care, streaming is a luxury not a right.

Sad that the thieves don’t even know that they are stealing. There is such a rampant, entitled mentality today.
I pay for the service…and extra for multiple users. SAD that you think I’m stealing from myself.

If your daughters are grown up and out of your house, then they aren't part of your household. If that is the case, then you shouldn't be providing your passwords to your daughters. They could either do without Netflix, or subscribe on their own. You providing them your password is stealing revenue from the company.

The multiple users subscription is for multiple users within a household and allows you and the other users to stream to more devices simultaneously. Passwords still shouldn't be shared outside of the household.

If your daughters are grown and out of the house on their own, they are no longer considered part of your household. I don't give you a **** if you don't like me. I'm sick of all the entitlement.
Obviously you do because you keep yapping like a chihuahua. I pay for the service…no entitlement.

Never specified within a household.

After they announced they were exploring cracking down on password users…whodathunk?

If their business model was based on selling advertising, they’d want to keep all of the users. Even those that are stealing the stream. Their revenue is subscription based. Weeding out the thieves is a good idea.

Newsflash: I don't give a crap if you stream Netflix. In fact, if you're not paying for it, then I PREFER that you don't stream Netflix. You're adding to their costs while giving zero revenue. Then, Netflix has to increase the monthly fee to people that actually don't steal their service, like me. I'm sick of subsidizing everybody else.
If you don’t give a crap, then why you bitching like a spurned john? 😏

I pay for my subscription so my daughters can use it. No stream is being stolen.

I don't have regular cable TV bc I can't afford it. Spectrum charges me $75/month just for internet /wifi. If you want to fix something, go after the monopolies. Yeah, I grab ESPN from my mom's account. Just so I can watch basevols. GBO!

The two aren't necessarily correlated.

You think if they did eliminate sharing that there will be a corresponding price cut?

A better question would be how many people would cancel if they couldn’t share? If two people share an account and they split the cost, is Netflix going to gain another new customer or lose the customer that owns the account?

Shake Mommy and Daddy down and lose the entire family.

If your password is being used with your permission to stream outside of your household, then you are stealing. If any member of the “household” is allowing the password to be used by people that are not members of the household, then the household is stealing. It isn’t in the user agreement that any relative is considered a member of the household. It’s not that complicated.

How am I stealing whilst paying out money? Your words don’t make sense.
