Neverending MBRO memory thread

Joe, have you arrived at your destination? Wet a line?
We did. Horrible day, wind so bad you couldn't lay anything down. It's flooded here, so all the muddy rivers have the ocean even brown. We found a better spot someone told us tomorrow, and a place to get live bait.
 
At least today is warmer, and wind isn't bad, yet. Hopefully it'll stay that way a while.
 
Redfish are the target in the coastal estuaries right now.
Right. Or maybe specks.
I say that because last weekend, four specks were landed on Bogue Inlet Pier on Emerald Isle, NC. The pier is still closed for the season, though, and the only people who can get out there are season pass holders. I don't know about the bite farther south. My buddy who fishes out of Murrels Inlet hasn't been fishing lately.
 
The last time that I was on the shores of Lake Michigan, whiting was in season, and whole dressed fish could be bought for 63 cents per pound.
