New Arizona Immigration Law

If this gets overturned, it would probably go to the Supreme Court, right? I assume they would be in favor of this, because there's nothing unconstitutional about it.

two years and what's the 3-year rule??

Lets put it this way, I have a cousin that married a beautiful Russian who then obtained her citizenship and a little after three years of marriage she dumped him and was able to remain in the U.S. Had she gotten a divorce prior to their third anniversary she would have been required to return to Russia.

A recent University of Arizona study found that Arizona's immigrant workers paid an estimated $2.4 billion in state taxes, and accounted for $44 billion in economic output that created 400,000 full-time jobs. And experts say that losing hundreds of thousands of these workers may compromise the state's long-term economic recovery. In the interest of leading the nation sharply to the right on immigration policy, it seems that Arizona's lawmakers are willing to take the risk.

no mention of expenses huh? i'd love to hear how even legal citizens making 20k a year are next adding revenue to the country. and the multiplier effect is complete and utter garbage. i should know i spent 3 years writing economic impact studies.

What was the reason they used the last time they wore these jerseys on Cinco de Mayo?
Not sure about that, but I'm pretty sure I know the Suns postion on my idea of emptying the military warehouses of anti-personel mines to deploy them a mile deep from south of San Diego to Brownsville and forget the wall....

I find it humorous that the sound bites coming from the team expressing their displeasure with the new law are all from Steve Nash, a Canadian.

Pretty good and informative response from the governor to Arizona:

Jan Brewer, the governor of Arizona, responds to calls for sports boycotts of her state over Senate Bill 1070, the new immigration law. - ESPN

I think the main issue here is misinformation.
I understand she's trying to clear things up, but I feel like no one will change their mind. Misinformation is now combined with people trying to protect their own interests regardless of the benefits of the country.
