Well said! Hart should be fired!

1) He paid UofCincy $1.4M to buy out Jones' contract
2. He is giving Jones a $500K signing bonus in January
3) He is giving Jones over $3M a year with generous performance bonuses
4) He will pay Jones $2M a year through the contract term if Jones is fired or asked to resign (the contract is through 2/28/2019)
5) It appears that Graham is the only assistant being retained. Why not keep the other assistants in whatever capacity Jones wants them to serve, and let them earn the $$$ UT is paying for their buyouts?
6) If you look at Jones' commits at UofCincy, you will see a bunch of two stars, a few three stars, and several non-rated players. Certainly not very impressive except perhaps on the Sun Belt level

Hart and Cheek ought to be fired over this hiring fiasco.

GBO.................. in spite of Cheek and Hart.

He's won 4 championships in 6 years.

He has been hired no matter what you think or thought.

If you are a Vol fan then the best thing you can now do is shut up and support the team. If he fails... then we can demand he be let go. There's plenty of time for that.

FWIW.... he has a history of taking those lowly recruits and turning them into NFL draft picks. Imagine what he might do if he can use UT's considerable resources to get REAL talent.

I'm sure that like many of you, I was impressed with CBJs press conference.

I am very disturbed, however, that it seems as if he "turned over every stone" pretty darn quickly in assembling the "nation's best" staff. And, surprise surprise, as it turns out, most of America's finest coaches just happened to be coaching in the Big Least at Cincinnati. Maybe it was sleep deprivation, maybe he was scripted to say that, but either way it was less than honest. Not a good move imo.

Shame on CBJ for not following proper protocol. Doesn't he know he is supposed to consult with the posters of VN before attempting any hire and only hiring those who VN approve of? There is no way to be successful other than following the advice of VN.

On a serious note, do you not think CBJ is doing what he thinks is best to win??? It is his butt on the line. Just because you don't like a hire doesn't mean it is the wrong thing. How about showing some support instead of your bashing.

Not sure where your hearing this but not what Hubbs was saying earlier. Sounded like on the Defensive side that the DC may be the only one coming. Then bringing his OC and OL coach.

I don't know who the others will be but I am 99 percent sure these five guys are coming for sure. The only way I see any of them not coming is if they turn down the job.

Oh I can stick it out as I'm thick skinned as they come but apparently some on this board can't. No matter what this hire makes no sense but we will have to live with it for at least 3 or 4 years.

We all knew Dooley wouldn't last and he didn't because he was in over his head and so is Butch Jones. Again, I hope it works out but I'm sick and tired of giving coaches their dream opportunities at Tennessee expense with more losing seasons. I MEAN THIS IS TENNESSEE not Candybilt, Kensucky, Cincy, Ole Piss and Miss State for goodness sake!!!!!

I am hearing a lot of emotion and not much reason from you.

And for the record, as an educated southern boy, I am a bit offended by the cultural "grits-n-collards", Civil-War "Damn Yankee-hating" stereotype you're seeking to further.

Hee Haw went off the air 25 years ago. Move into the 21st century and stop making the rest of us look bad. For someone as worried as you apparently are about Tennessee being a laughing stock, you seem to be doing more to make us that than anyone.
