New Commit- TE A.J. Branisel

Who says he's a 3 star?
Some guy who has never coached or played football before. Some guy, who if he was so good at talent evaluation, would be working in the NFL. Some guy whose job before becoming a "recruiting expert" was in marketing or advertising. Basically, just some guy.

News flash, the ONLY thing that counts, is winning and loosing FOOTBALL GAMES. Let me guess, your cool with loosing football games because, you are gonna sign your favorite man crush in recruiting? Recruiting rankings mean little to me as long as my coach WINS with the players he recruits. Congrats on the loss, since, in your opinion losses help with recruiting. Now, I wont keep you any longer, im sure you have a 17 year old High School KID that needs to be stalked on twitter. Good luck with your favorite sport, recruiting.

You aren't serious are you?

You give me higher ranked talent every time and i will win more often than not.

Doesnt mean i will never lose.

No one is looking to trade rosters heading into next season.

Recruiting is important, but its not the most important thing. Ron Zook?

FL is loaded with talent but they are undisciplined. Those penalties killed them last night.

It is better than not making a bowl.... or losing while being dominated by a less talented L'ville team.

We won the gator bowl last year.

I'd prefer making a bcs bowl and losing than having a poor enough season that the belk bowl or gator bowl is the best bowl invite we could get

Good work 99! I enjoyed that game last night more then any since the tebow crying game. thanks!

Bama - 14 4* and 5* recruits
UGA - 14 4* and 5* recruits
Florida - 14 4* and 5* recruits
USC - 13 4* and 5* recruits

Tennessee - 4 4* and 5* recruits

I think some people are concerned, and rightfully so.

Exactly the reason Gruden was huge. For anyone hating on the Grudenites, the above trumps the haters every time.

Butch has to make up a lot of ground before Feb. Otherwise, as you said, he better be a helluva lot better coach than Nick Saban.

Louisville, the team that beat Florida, was 3 points away from being in the Belk bowl. Just sayin'.

He is not our coach, therefore nothing about the Gruden thing was huge, but the embarrassment. I like Gruden, but first and foremost im a Tennessee fan. Time to move on.

5 star fumbler for UT. Very good back for Houston. Go figure.
Did not fumble alot. Was a helluva of a running back playing on a s**** offense. If our TEAM would have played better the FEW fumbles he did have would never be remembered.

If you go to Rivals and actually look at the avg star ratings. We are somewhere around 16. I just did a quick glance, so that number may be off a little. But, the point is....we have 16 people showing up as recruits right now. That can be looked at two ways I guess. Either we are behind the eightball on numbers or CBJ is working on a lot of late signers. I have no clue which it is, but would guess it is a little of both, since he got here late in the recruiting game.

I don't think I personally will hold this recruiting class against him. He came in late and is trybing to recruit several players who have actually already comitted to another school or are just playing the field with several different schools. I hope we end up with a decent class, but to me, next year will be the better sign as to whether he can recruit or not, when he has actually spent some time selling UT to all the possible recruits we are looking at.

JMHO (which I guess really isn't worth much)

Tell me Copernicus, how many fumbles did he have?

I'm not picking sides on this issue. It wasn't how many fumbles as it was the timing and location of those fumbles during a few big games. His fumbles did cost the team a couple of W's.

Having said that...I'm glad that he is doing well in the NFL.

It is because our fanbase is full irrational idiots. Some of them cannot seem to get it through their head that filling a spot of need with a kid that wants to be here is better than sitting back and waiting to see if that 5* comes or not. How dare the new coach go and get a kid to help fill a much needed spot on the roster. Wake up 5* gazers and you will see that we suck and have sucked since 2007. We are no longer on the radar of 70-80% of the 5* talent. Our staff is going to have to coach his players up to compete.

I think that this year has proven one thing. 5* talent compared to 3* talent is not that much of a gap. Coaching has everything to do with college ball.

legion of the miserable :clapping:
