New night shift thread

I'm bummed that we played like crap, but I'm pumped to go bowling. Get our hurt and sick players rested and healed up, get some quality reps in practice, and beat the brakes off of some poor schmucks to get a 7th win on the season. I'll be very satisfied if we get 7 this year.

Doyle is pleased.

Good deal. In the offseason, I would like for Butch and Jake to do some professional development in the form of re-thinking aspects of the offense and seeking consulatation from other coaches. I think expert playcalling might not have made much of a difference this season, since the OL was a mess, but they seem to do some head scratching things on O just the same. Abandoning TE seam passes through the last half of the season, continuing to run play action while Mizzou only rushed 3 or 4 and keyed against the pass, and questionable play calling in goal line situations. I'd like to see those types of things cleaned up heading into next season.

Good post Sam.

Oh, and to add, I know of one coach that would likely be a consultant for free.

Nothing wrong with asking Fulmer for some free advice while watching some film. Which he would very likely give without hesitation.

That's likely very true. Wouldn't hurt to ask.

HOF coach wearing a NC ring and worked with a mobile QB? Nah, certainly couldn't hurt to bring out a box of Krispy Kreme and a DVD or two. :)

Still love Fulmer. The epitome of Vol For Life.

Agree completely.
Butch needs to realize that it's not only players in this team that need developing, but the coaches as well.

Flurdah fixin to hire a guy to fix their offense, who I have seen do a lot of head scratchin type thingys at Bama. Maybe we don't know as much as we think we know.
