I watched that clip several times... there's no "alleged" to it. I saw two clear clips within 10 yds of where the ball was caught and then another close one later.

FTR, I didn't read where he referenced that very much at all. He mentioned it... which wasn't inappropriate since it was blatant.

Blatant? You need to get a new prescription.

My bad, Miles only needs 7 wins. I understand everyone's frustration but Fulmer is now being paid as a middle of the pack coach in the SEC, nothing more.

2 wrongs don't make a right. At least in Miles' case, he's won 2 consecutive BCS bowls, though. He had some leverage I suppose. I guess winning SECE Championships and going 1-1 in the last 3 bowl seasons is roughly the samething...

Miles' success is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that the clause in the contract is not irregular or at all unique. But everyone is making it out to be that that is where Tennessee is setting its expectations, and that's a load of crap.

I didn't say it was right, nor did I say it was the same thing. You implied that only crap programs would put such an incentive in a contract when that is not the case. It is completely meaningless anyhow. Do you really think that clause is going to have any bearing whatsoever on how long CPF is at the helm? There are very few who are completely happy with the current "state of the union" but the fact that CPF got a meaningless extension and a raise that puts him in the middle of the pack of the SEC (and he is at least the 7th best coach) is not going to cost me any sleep. The FEW people who's opinions really matter are content with the job he is doing so it is what it is.

Miles
is the luckiest coach in America
