New poll: its Newt's turn ....

Why did the majority of his own party in congress turn against him?

That pretty much tells what kind of leader he was.

I liken it to a change agent. Companies use them all the time. Come into a bad situation, make some tough calls, piss off a lot of people but get progress on the core issues then move on to the next one.

His ego was his downfall but his accomplishments before his ouster show him to be effective at change. He was also instrumental in securing power for those that ousted him.

I'm really not a fan of Gingrich although I like to hear his ideas. I would rate his leadership as House Speaker though as effective with a caveat.

The problem with this argument is that the things he did wrong had nothing to do with the change you would argue he accomplished. What he did wrong was to personally enrich himself and his connections and then lie about it to the panel.

In other words, he could have accomplished what you say he did and not have at the same time been self-dealing, cheating, and running some scams.

For cryin' out loud, at the same time he was pushing the Clinton impeachment it turns out he was having an affair with a staffer. He's the ultimate do as I say, not as I do, insider.

The Obama people are begging you to nominate him.

let me get my puke bucket

Who don't you like? Christie isn't my favorite, but I think he has good leadership qualities. I don't care for Huntsman, but I would agree he has good leadership qualities.

I think Romney is too wishy-washy to be considered a good leader.

The only gop candidate I would vote for with no problem is duncan hunter

Not the reason he was ousted.

running scams? There was one instance for which he was sanctioned and the IRS absolved him.

No argument that it is hypocritical but again not why he was ousted.
The Obama people are begging you to nominate him.

He's not my choice.

Having an affair is different from committing perjury. Especially when Bill Clinton had been accused of harassment on multiple occasions. That being said, I don't care about the impeachment question either way, really.

I still say it will be Romney. Gingrich has yet to feel the full weight of the GOP institution coming down on him and when the Speaker and others in leadership rolls loathe you, well, its easy to see how the troops are going to line up.

Brokered convention, anyone?

Newt knows he is God and beyond rebuke or meaningful censure. Therefor,e since according to him he "WILL" be the nominee, he don't need no stinkin' signatures.

Being reported that Gingrich just gave an interview to Blitzer and said he considers Romney to be VP material !!

His arrogance is unmatched.
